Fujifilm X-H1 “4K Photo” Feature is Basically a Timelapse Feature

X-H1 Mock-ups based on accurate sketches of our Japanese Source

Fujifilm X-H1

Recently I reported about a new feature on the Fujifilm X-H1, but I had so vague information about it, that I specifically told you to hold on for more details. All I knew is that it might combine movie and stills… somehow.

I speculated here that it could maybe be something like Panasonic’s “4K Photo” feature, where you can extract a photo out of a 4K video.

Now another source contacted me with a further hint, and told me that it is basically a timelapse feature.

I will try to dig up more details for you guys, and thanks to the source for showing me the way ;)

Luminar Will Get Fujifilm Film Simulation Profiles + Aurora HDR is Mac App Store of the Year 2017

MacPhun/Skylum

The jury is in and Aurora HDR has been declared an App of the year in the Mac App Store.

Another good news (actually still a rumor for now): I hear that MacPhun is working on bringing Fujifilm film simulation profiles to their flagship editing software Luminar 2018.

You can get both, Luminar 2018 and Aurora HDR with a $10 discount using coupon code “FUJI”

Fujifilm Kaizen Update Will Bring Fujifilm X-H1 Film Simulation ETERNA to X-T2 & Co

New Eterna Film Simulation

I have good news for you today :)

As we already leaked here on FujiRumors, the Fujifilm X-H1 will have a new film simulation, called Eterna.

And since the Fujifilm X-H1 uses the same processor of the X-T2 & Co (the X Processor Pro), I already told you that maybe Fujifilm could implement Eterna also to older cameras with X Processor Pro via Kaizen firmware update.

Well, I hear this will indeed happen. Maybe not immediatly at X-H1 launch day, but a Kaizen firmware update is on Fuji’s schedule.

Remains to see if Fujifilm will bring Eterna to all cameras having the X Processor Pro, or just to some.

Fujifilm X-H1: Headphone Jack in Body + some sort of “4K Photo” feature

Headphone Jack

The Fujifilm X-H1 will have the headphone jack build into the camera body. I remind you that the X-T2 has the headphone jack only in the vertical grip

“4K Photo”

Now, I call it “4K photo”, but that’s probably not how Fujifilm is going to market this feature.

I actually still have to understand how exactly it works, but it could be something like Panasonic’s “4K Photo” feature, which you can see in this youtube video. Basically it allows you to extract a picture from a 4K video. But as said, I have still no very clear idea how it works.

Meet the Fujifilm X-H1… Now also Top & Backside View

Fujifilm X-H1 Sketches

We already leaked the front of the Fujifilm X-H1 here.

Now the Japanese source finally shared also the Back and Top side of the camera.

This is no technical drawing, but a manual sketch, made quickly for us from our Japanese source, but you guys won’t really notice any relevant difference to the real camera, once we see the first pictures.

I would like to say a big thanks to the Japanese source and to all other source, who keep up helping me on FujiRumors. A virtual hug to all of them out there.

What we See

Please note that the viewfinder protrudes backwards. It is not that easy to see, due to the perspective of the sketches, but it’s basically a little block protruding from the back of the camera. It’s great to have a bit more distance between nose and screen ;).

For comparison, I show you also the X-T2, where the viewfinder is basically perfectly in line with the back of the camera.

Overall, the X-H1 looks like an X-T2 with a GFX handgrip.

There is the joystick, the Q button the very right of the camera and all the other buttons you already know from X-T2 and GFX. There is also AF-ON button.

New Size Comparison

There is also a new size comparison X-T2 Vs. X-H1 made by a FR-reader at our exploading X-H facebook group. Check it out below. In this size comparison it seems that the difference between X-T2 and X-H1 is a bit smaller than in the one we shared earlier.
