Fujifilm’s Unreleased FF190003 Camera Menu Leaked with More Details on January 17

As you might know, Fujifilm has currently two registered and unreleased cameras

One of them is the Fujifilm X100V, which we shared price and release month here.

The other one is… well… as soon as I can, I will let you know ;).

In the meantime, Nokishita spotted further details about the menu interface of Fujifilm’s unreleased FF190003 camera.

The menu looks identical to the one of the Fujifilm GFX50R, with one more additional menu item, that you can see below and at the google drive file here. Nokishita writes:

Fujifilm’s unpublished digital camera “FF190003” passed FCC certification. Appearance images are not open until January 17, 2020. [Correction] The menu screen is that of “GFX 50R”, and only the last one appears to be a new model screen

Just stay tuned on FujiRumors ;)

Fujifilm will NOT be at Photokina 2020 – A good Decision? (VOTE)

As you know, I have been to photokina twice (2016 report here2018 report here).

Both times it was fantastic, just for the sheer magnitude of the event.

But then, in my opinion, Photokina did an error: they dropped their 2 years cycle and decided to take place every year in May.

I did predict: Photokina will become a smaller regional show!

Oh boy, I wish I wouldn’t have said that, as I got heavily attacked for it. Apparently some thought the brand “photokina” was too big, that no company would ever skip it, and they will continue to time their biggest releases according to Photokina.

Well, turns out that even FujiRumors can be right now and then. ;)

Olympus, Nikon and even the German “home company” Leica dropped Photokina already, as we reported here.

There was no mention about Fujifilm, not even in the most recent Photokina press release here, where the heads of Photokina traveled to Japan to meet several camera companies.

So I asked around for clarification, and I have been told that Fujifilm will NOT be at Photokina 2020.

A pity!

Well, at least I won’t make errors like these anymore (or desperate things like this) once I go back teaching after 2 days of Photokina :).

Did Fujifilm well to skip Photokina in May 2020

Exclusive: Fujifilm X100V Release Month and Price Leaked – Read Now on FujiRumors!

Fujifilm X100V

As you can see from our Fujifilm camera release timeline, Fujifilm usually released a new X100 camera every two years, but this time, they waited unusually long, and we gave you 3½ reasons why Fujifilm is wating so long.

But at some point, it had to happen, and now I can tell you when.

The Fujifilm X100V will see the light of the day in February 2020.

Moreover, our sources tell us that the price should be around $1,500, but that’s just the current estimate. However, in terms of price, things can change from here until launch, but right now Fujifilm is gravitating towards this price tag.

Today it’s Marc, who sent me a lovely tidbit from inside the “House of Photography“: images of the Fujinon XF 50mm f/1.0, which Fujifilm marks as “coming soon“.

That lens can’t come soon enough!

Other than that, I hear just great things about the “House of Photography”, which also hosts the famous Markus Klinko exhibtion about David Bowie.

ProGrade Digital denies Any CFexpress Compatible Fujifilm Camera Coming mid-late December

Fujifilm CFexpress

Two days ago we reported, that Prograde Digital was sending out emails to customers, saying that a CFexpress compatible Fujifilm camera would be released within the end of the year.

Now a FR-reader told us in the comments here, that Prograde Digital replied to DYIphotography.

This was an error in an email that went out to customers as an auto-confirmation of their order; FujiFilm was listed instead of Panasonic. ProGrade Digital would never “pre-announce” another company’s product. This order confirmation email simply referenced public information about previously announced cameras from device manufacturers so that customers are aware that the cards will ship when cameras are in the market that can accept the CFexpress cards. Again, FujiFilm was listed in error and we regret any confusion that this caused.

– Mark Lewis, ProGrade Digital, Co-founder and VP of Marketing

If you have read our previous article, I clearly told you, that I was not expecting any new Fujifilm camera this year, hence you should have taken this information with a grain of salt anyway.

Anyway, I grab the occasion to ask you, if you think Fujifilm should use CFexpress cards in future.

But before you answer, you might want to know more about the brand new CFexpress cards, check out this overview article here.

Should Fujifilm use CFexpress cards in future high end camera models?
