They will be back: X-deals reloaded starting August 25… save up to $300!

 photo coming_zps2bb179aa.png

If you plan to switch to the X but you missed the crazy X-deals in June then maybe you could soon have another chance to switch cheap to the Fuji X-system.

According to an anonymous source Fuji will launch a new deal starting August 25: you could save up to $300 on lenses when purchased with X-Pro1 or X-E1.

Stay tuned on Fujirumors that day and let’s see if the rumor is correct. As soon as the deals go live I’ll notify you also via facebook and twitter.

First organic sensor to be used in cameras from late 2014 early 2015.

Fujifilm press release

Fuji innovated the camera industry by developing the X-Trans Sensor. But the future seems to be a based on the “organic sensors”. The new technology promises among the others “Industry’s highest dynamic range of 88dB”, “higher sensitivity than conventional sensors” and “ range of incident angle expanded to 60 degrees for faithful color reproduction“.

One source told us that this is still far away from being implemented in X cameras. If all works fine we can expect the first camera to feature that sensor in late 2014 early 2015 only.

Last year in a Lenstip (Click here) interview Fuji said that the super high quality organic sensor (that we hoped to be inside the X PRO 1) will not be find any use in the short term. It’s still too early for a real use on cameras.

More rumors confirm it: X100 firmware update coming soon (end of August?)

 photo c_zps49737a1c.png

An anonymous source just confirmed the release of an upcoming major firmware for the X100 end of August. The update will have a significant number of improvements and X100 users will be impressed! So wait a bit and don’t sell your classic X100… let’s see if rumors are correct and if Fuji will really be able to impress you!

The number of hints is growing. If you want read the previous X100 firmware rumor and select the improvements you’d like to see on your X100.

There is still hope: X100 firmware update could come!

 photo c_zps49737a1c.png

130,000! That’s the number of photographers who purchased the Fujifilm X100. As you know, the other X-series cameras are constantly improved via firmware update, getting faster autofocus, focus peaking and much more (read the “amazing evolution of the X-PRO1” article here), but X100 owners were not that lucky lately. Well, it seems that there is still hope…

At dpreview user Mistur said: “There will be an update for the X100 that will add approximately 50% of the 72 new features found in the X100s. While there has been no official announcement yet, I heard about it at a recent Fuji event for the X-M1.”

Now, take this rumor cum grano salis ;).

No FR-source could confirm these rumors until now, but I suppose that an update for the good old X100 is nothing like improbable. But will there be really so many improvements as suggested by Mistur on dpreview?

As a reminder, here is the list of the actually 70 improvements of the X100S over the X100 (read also this post here). Choose the top improvements you’d like to see on your X100.

thanks for giving me these hints, Lukas
cheers

Fujifilm X-A1: name registered at the Korean radio research agency!

 photo X-A1_zps7af54091.png

So it seems that the new (and trusted) Japanese FR-source was right also this time. The next APS-C X-mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera of Fuji will indeed be called X-A1 (read the rumor here). The name has just been registered at the Korean national radio research agency (spotted by digicame-info)

I’ve used google translator to translate the Korean text. The X-A1 will be equipped with wireless technology (approved by the radio research agency) “Specific low power wireless device (wireless devices for wireless data communication system)” and after the X-M1, now also the X-A1 will be produced in Thailand: “Country of origin Thailand

According to the rumors already published on FR, this camera will be cheaper than the X-M1, it won’t have an X-Trans sensor (and also not the X100 sensor), will come in a lot of colours and will be sold by big retailers on the web and big general stores.

Follow Fujirumors on facebook, twitter and RSS feed and stay tuned for more.
