Fujifilm To Release Bayer Sensor Camera Soon

As we know, Fujifilm recently registered three cameras:

  • FF190001 = X-A7
  • FF190002 = X-Pro3
  • FF190003 = ?

So still to see what the FF19003 is, but Nokishita says:

In addition to X-Pro3, Fujifilm is likely to see another model. Probably not an X-Trans machine or GFX, as it is not made by Zakuti from the model number of the wireless parts.

It’s not X-Trans, it is not made by Xacti Zakuti, which I told you already back in 2017, is now developing Fujifilm entry level line of cameras (Fujifilm outsourced entry level cameras development to save R&D).

So remains the GFX.

The Anker PowerCore+ 26800 PD is now selling for the lowest price ever at AmazonUS (regular price $129 – currently $67). It is officially recommended by Fujifilm to charge batteries in the camera. I own the Anker PowerCore+ 26800 PD myself, and I am very happy with it.

Updated Fujifilm 2019/2020 Camera and Lens Release Timeline

Fujifilm Timeline

It’s high time to update our older Fujifilm 2019/2020 camera and lens release timeline.

This is just an approximate timeline and expect to see updates to this list over the next few weeks and months.

For now, this is mainly just an update to the list we shared back in January.

All rumors are as always exclusive FujiRumors.com information. When I just make some guess, I will highlight that for you in the notes.

  • IMPORTANT NOTE: We are talking about release timeline, not announcement timeline.

How Many Lenses a Year?

  • as we told you here, at the current pace and current resources, Fujifilm can release about 2/3 GF and 2/3 XF lenses a year
  • the list below contains 1 XF and 1 GF lens
  • hence we can expect to see 1/2 more XF and 1/2 more GF lenses to join the list
  • Fujifilm has given up options to vote which lenses should come next

Fall 2019

Coming 2020

Expect 1 or 2 more X as well as GF lenses. My guess:

  • GF 21mm F4 Tilt Shift
  • XF 10mm F2

Probably NOT Coming 2019/2020

* our sources say it will not be released in 2019, and probably not even in 2020. But Fujifilm managers confirmed here, that the X-H line will continue

Top Possible Bonus Gear in 2020

* based on this old rumor rumor
** wishful thinking based on XF10 disappointment

Fujifilm X Camera Replacement Timeline from 2011 to 2018 and What This Could Mean for X-H2, X-T4, X-T30, X-Pro3, X-E4, X200

Fujifilm Timeline

Today I decided to take a look at the refresh rate of the top/mid range Fujifilm cameras and tried to make a guess (NOT A RUMOR) about when the Fujifilm X-H2, Fujifilm X-Pro3, Fujifilm X-E4, Fujifilm X-T4, Fujifilm X-T30 and Fujifilm X200 (or X100V) can be expected.

Overall we can see how the Fujifilm X-E and X-Pro line are gravitating towards a 4 years refresh time, whereas X-T and X100 line are close to a 2 years refresh time.

WARNING

  • This is not based on rumors, and it’s not said that Fujifilm will always keep the same product refresh rate. Everything can change anytime.

NOT INCLUDED:

  1. All 2/3 sensor cameras are not included, since the won’t ever get any successor (not even 1 inch sensor cameras, no matter what old patents say)
  2. X70/XF10: XF10 is not the X70 successor. It’s unclear if there will be a Fujifilm X80 at some point
  3. X-A line has a high refresh rate, but the FR community is for the most part not interested in this camera line
  4. GFX 50S, GFX 100S, GFX 50R: According to our rumors, the GFX 100 comes 2 years and 3 months after the GFX 50S. It’s unclear if the Fuji GFX 50R will also get a 2 year refresh rate or a 4 year refresh rate like its rangefinder brothers the X-Pro and X-E
