The Trinity

We can now say with 100% certainty that

But after I’ve shared the rumor, I have noticed some misunderstandings. So let me address those first, and then we’ll talk about each of the three cameras

Is it All We’ll Get?

So, I told you that there will be three cameras, and that they will come in 2024.

But I didn’t mean to say that all we get in 2024 are these three cameras, and all of them will come in the first half of 2024 (as I see reported around on Forums etc).

I was referring to the fact that initially we told you that there will be “3 or more cameras” coming in first half 2024, and now we can be more specific and confirm that the number of cameras will be 3.

So to be clear I want to remark: I don’t know how many cameras will be launched in the entire year 2024. What I know so far is that there will be 3 cameras in the first half (the replacements of these models), and there will be potentially more cameras in the second half of 2024. But so far I have no rumors about it.

So there is still the second half of 2024 where Fujifilm could have potentially lots of time to please us with much more gear.

And I promise that after the imminent X100VI-centric X Summit I will try to find out more about it.

Anyway, let me quickly talk about each of the three cameras.

Camera 1

Fujifilm X100VI

The first one to come is of course the Fujifilm X100VI, which will see the light of the day tomorrow.

There is not much to guess around, as we have already leaked all the core specs here on FujiRumors.

Now all we have to do is to wait for the Fujifilm X Summit tomorrow and enjoy the launch, which will be covered non-stop here on FujiRumors.

So, all you have to do, is to sit down, relax, and just follow FujiRumors.

Camera 2

Fujifilm GFX100SII

I know many still doubt this rumor. But it won’t change the fact that it is really coming. And also fairly soon, as it is one of the three cameras to come in the first half of 2024.

So far no rumors, but hopes. Especially one big hope (at least for me personally): since the Fujifilm GFX100II is out, I believe it would be a wise idea for Fujifilm to differentiate the GFX100SII from the non “S” version by giving it X-T alike retro controls.

In fact, I have already written a dedicated article about it:

I mean, don’t get me wrong.

I used and still use cameras with PSAM dial (GFX100S), and they are fast and stupidly easy to operate. I have no problems with it at all. I just have less fun, that’s all. And since I am not a professional photographer who shoots tons of weddings and needs to make lightning fast changes to the settings all the time, I prefer the retro interface, which is just more enjoyable to use for me.

And not to talk about the biggest secret at all (sort of :)): you can actually operate your retro-styled Fujifilm camera just as fast as any PSAM dial camera, as I have shown here.

Retro dials give me the best of both worlds, which is why I consider retro dials superior to PSAM.

Camera 3

Fujifilm X-T30II Successor

There has been a lot of talk about the Fujifilm X-Pro4, questions if there will ever be a Fujifilm X-E5, wishes about the Fujifilm X80, dreams of a Fujifilm GFX100R.

But in all this buzz and talk, one camera passed rather unnoticed: the Fujifilm X-T30II successor.

Now, the Fujifilm X-H2 camera already has its more mid-range counterpart, the Fujifilm X-S20.

So I guess it was just a matter of time until also the Fujifilm X-T5 would get its mid-range sibling..

That’s why I told you already back in 2023 that I expect a refresh of the X-T30II in 2024, even though I had no rumors about it.

It’s an overall very successful camera line for Fujifilm, and I have no doubts the new iteration will finds a loyal fellowship too.

Of course I am working on the specs and I will share them as soon as I can here on FujiRumors.
