Fujifilm GF30mmF5.6 Tilt Shift and GF110mmF5.6 Tilt Shift (Quietly) Announced – First Images

I don’t know if you did, but I did it… I followed the Fujifilm X summit until the very end.

And right in the very last seconds, Fujifilm showed two mockups of future GF tilt shift lenses, the GF30mmF5.6 Tilt Shift and the GF110mmF5.6 Tilt Shift.

Above the image of both lenses and below some hands on images.

Looks like we were right, when we said Fujifilm was hiding one tilt shift lens from us in the G mount roadmap ;).

New Fujifilm Camera Remote App to Be Called “X-App”… but Will it Really Come in September?

When we shared the rumor about Fujifilm working on an all new camera remote App, we got hundreds of comments of pure joy.

And if you were wondering (like me), if the new App would also get an all new name so that we can get over the “Camera Remote” trauma faster, I am pleased to report that it will.

In fact, I have been told that right now Fujifilm is likely going to call the new app “X-App”.

  • I CAN HEAR YOU SHOUT: “Who Cares!”.

I get it… but to me, the fact that the App will get a totally new name is at the same time a strong indication that it is an all new and totally re-written App, which is great news!

As the App is not yet out, I would not be totally surprised if the final name would be another one. But for now it’s “X-App”. And in any case, it will surely be a totally new App with a new name.

  • I CAN HEAR YOU SHOUT: “When Will it Come!”

I have heard some claiming it will come in September, based on what a German manager supposedly said here. But since I speak German, I can tell you that at no point of the interview the manager mentioned any new App coming at all. It goes without saying that therefore he also didn’t say it will come in September.

So what I can say is that I don’t know when it will be released. I can’t exclude September, but I also can’t exclude October, November, December or just anything at this point.

But I just want to make clear that neither any manager nor FujiRumors have announced a new App coming in September.

So please, don’t be disappointed if it won’t come in September… but know that it will come for sure and Fujifilm is working on it.

Fujifilm X Summit 2022 NYC – Behind The Scenes with The Fuji Guys – Sneak Peak to Main Event Tomorrow!

Fuji Guy Billy is giving us a sneak peak of the upcoming Fujifilm X Summit 2022 in New York City.

I don’t know what he can anticipate about the event tomorrow, but here on FujiRumors we have a pretty clear idea on what is about to drop.

You can follow the Behind The Scenes with the Fuji Guys in the video here on FujiRumors.

Pre-Orders (start September 8)

Trusted Source Confirms: Fujifilm X-T5 Announcement in 2022

A highly trusted source contacted me in the hours following the rumor we shared coming from a new source, who told us that the Fujifilm X-T5 will come in 2022.

The trusted source confirmed it to me: yes, the Fujifilm X-T5 announcement will happen still in 2022!

So now there is no doubt anymore: it’s coming, not long after the Fujifilm X-H2S and shortly after the Fujifilm X-H2.

We know with 100% certainty that the Fujifilm X Summit on September 8 at 2PM New York time will be reserved to the Fujifilm X-H2 and other gear (like the GF20-35), but there won’t be an X-T5 announcement there. At least not a full announcement. No idea if they’ll give us hints regarding its development, as Fujifilm did with the X-Pro3 for example.

In any case, September 8 will tell us a lot about the Fujifilm X-T5, since whatever the image quality of the X-H2 is, the X-T5 will have the same IQ.

Fujifilm Managers Talk 100 Megapixel GFX-R, XF56mmF1.2 MKII, How to Train the New Autofocus, Updated Camera Remote APP and More

image credit - Dave Etchells at imaging-resource.com

Dave Etchells from Imaging Resource met five Japanese Fujifilm managers: Yujiro Igarashi, Makoto Oishi, Jun Watanabe, Kuniko Åo and Shu Amano.

And when 5 managers are needed to answer the questions of 1 single person, you know it’s going to be a very in depth and technical talk.

In fact, it ends up in a 8,000 words interview that I have summed up down below in 1,470 words.

Some notes and considerations ahead of it:

  • Fujifilm says they are working on updating the camera remote App, especially to make it work better with older cameras. They did NOT say they are working on an all new App. But FujiRumors has already shared a rumor that there will be an all new App!
  • Fujifilm aimed to make the GFX system smaller, and the GFX50R served that purpose. Now the GFX100S is perceived as small enough, and so they see “less need for something even more compact“. But they also add “we always look at the market to see if there’s a need to introduce something“. My impression based on this interview is that they currently have no plans for a GFX100R, but they don’t entirely want to rule out this possibility. And in fact, given how well the GFX100S is selling, Fujifilm has no hurry at all to take decisions right now.

These are just two personal notes on what you’ll read below. But there is really a lot more interesting stuff… like how Fujifilm did work to train the new AF and much more.
