In honor to the Fujifilm GFX100S, which I own and made me break my “likes” record on Instagram, with the very first GFX100S image I’ve shared, today FujiRumors is going to dedicate to this wonderful camera, whose only issue is that it lacks of X-T alike dials, a roundup.

VBESTLIFE 50mm f/1.6 Tilt Lens for Fujifilm X – UPDATE

Share

UPDATE: Although advertised as tilt shift lens, this is a tilt only lens

I have been often asked about tilt shift options for Fujifilm X cameras (as well as for GFX).

The native mount options are very limited in case of the X/GFX series.

As far as I am aware of, the only Fujifilm X mount option are the Samyang T-S 24mm F3.5 ED AS UMC and the Lensbaby Sol 45 f/3.5 Tilt-Shift.

Now a FR-reader spotted a third tilt shift lens for Fujifilm X, the VBESTLIFE Tilt Shift Lens 50mm F1.6 for Fujifilm X.

  • 【F1.6-F22 Aperture】With 50mm/2.0in focal length and F1.6 aperture lens design, fit for Fuji FX mount mirrorless camera, provide better use feeling.
  • 【Manual Focus】High quality precision mechanisms, including six elements of the five optical designs, enable correction of perspective distortions of photography inside and outside the building, as well as control of depth of field for product photography.
  • 【FX Mount】Adopt high quality alloy and optical glass material, firm and durable, effectively reduce the replacement.
  • 【Full Frame】Full‑frame lenses in full‑frame SLRS can assure high quality imaging, while in half‑frame SLRS can improve image quality, create a dreamy and ethereal photo style.
  • 【Tilt Shift Lens】TS lens allows to compensate for perspective distortion, change the depth of field and sharpness zone, and soften the image if necessary.

The FR-reader also purchsed it and I am curious to read his first impressions about it.

7Artisans 50mm f/0.95 Coming Soon – First Samples and Reviews

Share

In a big f/0.95 third party X mount lens comparison here, the 7Artisans 35mmF0.95 came out as the best value for money lens when compared to the Mitakon 35mmF0.95 and Laowa Argus 33mm f/0.95.

Now 7Artisans is about to launch the 7Artisans 50mm f/0.95 lens. Let’s hope it will be a good performer too.

You can see an initial review and samples at infofotografi (google translated) as well as a video down below (with English subtitles). You can also see samples at the official 7Artisans Weibo page here and a video promo on Weibo here.

Fujinon GF 35-70mmF4.5-5.6 Coming Without Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)

Share

It’s small, it’s affordable, probably optically on a high level, but all this goodness comes with the price of some compromises, which are:

  • it won’t have an aperture ring
  • it won’t have optical image stabilization

The lack of OIS is probably not a big of a deal.

Why?

Because the most affordable Fujifilm GFX camera, that is still not on the market, but will soon come, the Fujifilm GFX50SII, will have IBIS inside, hence guarantee for 5 axis image stabilization.

It’s up to you now to make the decision if to go with the Fujinon GF35-70mmF4.5-5.6 or with the strongly rebated GF32-64mmF4 (until August 22)

I personally went for the rebated GF32-64, mainly for the aperture ring. But surely the size of that GF35-70mm is tempting too.
