FUJIFILM ROYAL: Long Live King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and Fujifilm X Shooter

Fujifilm, The Choice of Royals

Weekend curiosity:

Guys, it’s time for me to quit my teacher job, leave my family, my little rented apartment, my lovely mountains, pack my stuff into my 10 years old Mazda2 and move up North to Sweden.

Why?

Because I want to be ruled by a Fujifilm X shooter! :)

In fact, thanks to a tip from a FujiRumors readers, I just discovered that Carl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden, is a Fujifilm X shooter.

He uses either a Fujifilm X-T10 or X-T20, and very likely soon a Fujifilm X-T30 :).

His lens is the Queen under the kit lenses, the XF18-55, a stellar lens…. not like a SONY kit lens, which uses the bottom of a bottle as front element ;).

So, Fujifilm might not be good enough for professional photographers, but at least it’s good enough for Kings and for…

Next Fujinon Lenses

I told you over 1 year ago, that Fujifilm will not launch more than 2/3 lenses for each system (X and G) a year, at least not until Fujifilm will boost lens production by 70% within 2020.

So I thought it’s time that you guys tells what Fujifilm should prioritize.

Should Fujifilm focus on releasing MK II versions of older glass or on releasing complete new lenses not yet covered in focal length and/or aperture by existing ones?

And I remind you that almost 8,000 of you guys already voted on which older Fujinon lens Fujifilm should update next. You can check out the results here.

Fujifilm GFX100

What you see here today, are the first images of the Fujifilm GFX100 backside, shared at gao3366 instagram back on the 15th of October 2018.

But since nobody reported about it, it’s once again time for FujiRumors to break the news, thanks to a FR-reader, who sent me the link yesterday (I asked gao3366 for permission to share his images).

So here is what we can see:

The Fujifilm GFX100 has 2 joysticks (no surprise), no D-Pad and a 3-way tilt screen. And looking at the buttons, I guess nobody will complain they are to small and hard to press ;). More images down below.

Of course this is just a prototype and things might change a bit until its release later this year.

As we have shown in our size comparison here, the Fujifilm GFX100 (which has a medium format sensor and IBIS) is not bigger than full frame cameras with integrated grip, such as the Nikon D5 and the Canon 1Dx MK II.

Fujifilm X-T30

The Fujifilm X-T30 has just been registered online under the codename FF180006. It has bluetooth 4.2 like the Fujifilm X-T3. You can find the registration, spotted by nokishita, here.

Well, actually neither Nokishita, nor the official registration, mention the Fujifilm X-T30.

Only you, the FujiRumors readers, know that it’s the Fuji X-T30, since we already leaked back in December, that it will be released in early 2019. An information, we happily share with all Fuji lovers out there. :)

Or wait… could it be another camera? ;)

More is coming, so make sure to follow FujiRumors on Facebook, Instagram, RSS-feed and Twitter.

In the meantime, you can save some good money on the Fujifilm X-T20. Check out the latest X deals below.
