Red and White Viltrox Lenses Displayed at China P&E

Share

It seems like another time in another world, when we saw crowded photography fairs all over the world.

So let’s take this one as a sign of hope for everything to go back to normal soon.

In fact, the Chinese International Photographic Equipment and Technology Fair (China P&E) started, full of photography enthusiasts, who can put their hands on all sort of gear.

And some put their hands on white and red Viltrox lenses, as spotted at the Chinese facebook equivalent weibo here (images above).

Let’s hope that soon all over the world we will finally be able to go back to normal and visit our local photography fairs.

P.S.: Fujifilm has the biggest booth at the China P&E ;)

Stay well, stay save… sending you all love from Italy!

Let’s Be Clear: Fujifilm’s Next X Series Camera will be Fujifilm X-H2 and There Won’t be Fujifilm X-T40 or X80 Before that

Share

Let’s talk Fujifilm X-T40.

And let’s talk about it, because, I am receiving emails asking me if it is true, like some wrote, that protoype Fujifilm X-T40 cameras with IBIS are right now being tested and the X-T40 will be released in 2021.

Short answer: fake rumor clickbait ;).

If you’ve read FujiRumors recently, you’ll know the answer already. In fact, we told you that:

The sum of all these rumors gives you the answer already: there is no Fujifilm X-T40 coming in 2021. And not even a Fujifilm X80 or any other Fujifilm X camera.

ATTENTION: I am not saying there won’t ever be an X-T40. What I say is:

  • there won’t be any 26MP X-Trans IV Fujifilm X-T40 or X80 (the X-E4 was the last one)
  • if an X-T40 or X80 will come, then it will have a new sensor/processor and it would come at the same time or after the X-H2 release sometimes in 2022

Look, here is what you can do, to avoid to be mislead in future: only trust Nokishita or FujiRumors. That’s it.

Nokishita has access to press releases and specs sheets once Fujifilm sends them to stores and media, hence it’s a fantastic source for very short term rumors a few days ahead of announcements. FujiRumors on the other hand is here to guide you through the long-, mid- and short term rumors, so that you don’t get many surprises once Nokishita starts to leak, as you’ll already have a pretty clear idea on what is coming and how the specs look like.

IT IS OVER: Fujifilm X-E4 is Fuji’s Last X-Trans IV Camera

Share

It’s over!

Not only the Fujifilm X-E4 will be the last X series camera to come this year, but according to our sources it will also be the last one to feature the excellent X-Trans IV sensor!

The 26MP X-Trans IV sensor was used first on the Fujifilm X-T3, followed by the X-T30, X-Pro3, X100V, X-T4, X-S10 and last but not least the X-E4.

It’s still a great sensor with top-notch technology. Backside illuminated, full phase detection coverage, copper wiring for faster sensor readout. It’s the same technology we find in flagship cameras of other brands such as the Sony Alpha a7R IV.

And the future?

Fujifilm managers already hinted multiple times like in this interview and also here, that the future will bring more megapixel to the X series.

Which sensor technology will be used? Will it really be that 43 Megapixel 8K stacked BSI sensor?

Questions, riddles and enigmas that FujiRumors is trying to answer for you.

All I can say for now is that, after an explosive start in 2021, Fuji’s current quietness is only apparent. Behind the scenes great things are planed, and if you’d like to get a secret glimpse into them, following FujiRumors is the way to go.

Fujifilm X-H2 in 2022 Will Be FIRST X Series Camera with New Sensor and Processor

Share

Here is what we know thanks to our rumors:

Now, since an illustrious Fujifilm managers talked about a breakthrough to achieve with Fujifilm X-H2, we all expected the Fujifilm X-H2 to feature a new sensor and processor.

But some readers contacted recently, asking me if maybe the first camera to introduce the new sensor and processor will be the X-Pro4, followed by the X-H2 later on.

And I understand where this comes from. It happened in the past that Fujifilm used the X-Pro line to introduce new platforms (X-Pro1 and X-Pro2).

Well, today I’d like to clarify that and say that the Fujifilm X-H2 will be Fujifilm’s first X series camera to introduce the new sensor and processor platform, and not the X-Pro4.

But attention: the Fujifilm X-H2 is still far away, and we will not get it until some point in 2022.

Fujifilm is crafting a monstrous camera and they are not allowed to fail. This means that they will take all the time they need to release real stunner, confident of the fact that in the meantime sales of X-T series, X-S10 and X100V cameras will keep up going strong, allowing Fujifilm not to hurry with the X-H2.

As one of our trusted sources said: it will be a long wait, but it will be well worth it.
