Final Countdown! X-T1 announcement at 04:30 AM London Time (JAN28)! Stay tuned on FR!

.
I’ve squeezed out my sources like a lemon in these months, and I don’t know what else I can leak. Maybe one of last things I will be able to find out for you is the time, when the X-T1 will be officially announced.

It’s 04:30 AM London Time, this Tuesday, January 28th (11:30 PM, January 27th, New York).

I’ll make a live blogging sessions here on Fujirumors. It will be the final chapter in one of the longest and most leaked rumor stories on Fujirumors (thanks a lot to all sources who cooperated with FR).

As you know, it’s also the moment where you can choose to support several months of leaks and restless work on FR. If the X-T1 is the camera you’ve waited for, feel free to use one of the shoplinks (Amazon, Bhphoto and Adorama & Co) on this blog to purchase it. No extra costs for you, but you’ll allow me to keep this blog running.

I’m already looking beyond the X-T1… and with your support, we could have a great rumor-time also in 2014 ;-)

stay tuned,

X-PRO2 announcement in 2014 available in 2015? Design & sensor not finalized as of yet!

 photo X_zpsd592314c.png

Hi all

Some people asked me via personal message on facebook, twitter and email, if they should go for the X-T1 or if the X-PRO2 will be available anytime soon.

I’ve already told you that it won’t come before late 2014, but more likely in 2015 here.

Also Mr.Kawahara and other Fuji Managers said that “there are no plans for an X-PRO1 replacement for now”, because they are waiting to achieve a “major breakthrough”. So it will be radically different to what it is now (organic sensor? Full Frame?).

That said, I’d like to share a rumor from an anonymous source who already told us some X-T1 specs that I think will be correct (price $1,300, 1 card slot, X-T1 + 18-135 in April/May for $1,800…). (Thanks a lot for sharing!)

This source said:

  • X-Pro2
  • Announcement in 2014
  • Available in 2015
  • Design & sensor not finalized as of yet.

So, it’s still a pretty long wait for the X-PRO2. But I’ll try to entertain you with some rumors in the meantime :-) .

The anonymous source contacted me via rumor box and gave itself a fake name, which allows me to recognize it in future. You can do the same if you want, or also create a fake email account and contact me.

_ _ _

I don’t know if the X-T1 is one of the most leaked cameras ever (as stated by other sites). I just know that I had a lot of fun to bring you all these rumors over the last months. But it was also a pretty strenuous work, all done restlessly, alone, during my breaks from my full time day job, at night and in my spare time.

But soon, on Tuesday, January 28th, you can support Fujirumors.

If you purchase the X-T1 using one of the shoplinks (Amazon, Bhphoto and Adorama & Co) on this blog. Fujirumors will get a small commission on it. No extra costs for you, but you’ll allow me to keep this blog running.

Maybe, with your support, we can make of the X-PRO2 the most leaked camera ever… it has already begun today ;-) .

But now stay tuned, January 28th is near. There will be a live blogging sessions early in the morning London time. The party is here, on Fujirumors.

cheers

You just Can’t Get Enough: New X-T1 pictures (one with vertical grip)!

Here are three new pictures of the Fuji X-T1 leaked by our friend from Digicameinfo. Only six days to go until the camera gets announced (at around 5-6am London time on January 28th). Feel free to follow the event live here on Fujirumors with a couple of hot coffees to keep you awake :-) and to support Fujirumors by pre-ordering it using one of the shoplinks on this blog.

At the bottom a silver mock-up by FR-reader Michel Van Weyenbergh, and some size comparisons by FR-reader Manne Sjögren who said: “I heard rumors, and also saw that people are writing it on some other sites as well, that the X-T1 will be smaller than the X-E1 and X-E2 bodies. I had to compare. Here’s a quick comparison from above of them both. Not really smaller but good looking none the less. Feel free to use it if you want!”

– animated gif size comparison X-E2/X-T1 by FR-reader MJr here.

FR-reader James shared via email at fujirumor@gmail.com: “I composed some comparison photos of the X-Pro1 and X-T1 with the same 35mm F1.4. They can be found here.”

– Leigh Diprose wrote me on facebook: “I recorded an Google+ Hangout discussing the camera. Some of your readers might find this interesting.” See it here. (recorded after the first leaked image).

– Shared via twitter: “Here’s a quick rundown of what we know of the X-T1, and how it compares with Fuji’s current top-end cameras, the X-E2 and X-Pro1. Keep in mind, much of the info about the X-T1 is still rumour.” Check it out af fujivsfuji here.
