Fujifilm GFX100 vs Phase One

Matt Granger compared the Fujifilm GFX100 with the Phase One, which also has 100 MP. Here is what he says:

  • first 9:42 minutes are about how he set up the shoot. After that, he shares his thoughts about shooting with GFX 100 and Phase One
  • both cameras are not comparable
  • Phase One is in a different world. Much more expensive and shooting with it is a completely different experience
  • 100 megapixel is a scary level of details
  • for portraits, it is too sharp. It reveals every skin imperfection and you see every brush stroke of the make up
  • if you do high end retouching for prints, you will have so much information to work with
  • post processing is slowed down with those big files
  • Phase One has a supreme amount of details
  • Fujifilm images take longer to render than Phase One images
  • Fujifilm GFX100 has a crazy amount of details. You see the strokes of the brush of the makeup artist
  • For the price the GFX100 is just so good
  • Phase One has a more natural color, edit quicker and still has better details
  • It’s the difference between exceptional (GFX) and unbelievable (Phase One)
