This is How Fujifilm Welcomes Xiaomi Mi Note 10 108 Megapixel Samsung/Fujifilm ISOcell Sensor

in the green box: the original image shared by Fujifilm China

Fujifilm China has apparently given a warm welcome to the 100 megapixel Xiaomi CC9 Pro (or Xiaomi Mi Note 10), which features a 108 megapixel camera.

[google translated] 100 million pixels: Welcome new members!

And in the comments Fujifilm China say:

Encourage Xiaomi’s innovation for mobile phones

The image shared at the official Fujifilm China weibo page, shows a little box inside the massive Fujifilm GFX100 sensor, which has the size of the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 sensor.

Now why should Fujifilm do this? Here a few options:

  1. sympathy: they simply welcome another 100 megapixel camera
  2. mockery: they make fun out of of the small sensor (that would be such a bad taste)
  3. conspiracy: they hint to some secret future Fujifilm development
  4. proudly: Fujifilm co-develops the sensor inside the Xiamo Mi Note 10
  5. randomly: that little box and the whole post of Fujifilm mean nothing

I think we can agree that there is nothing more fun than a conspiracy theory, so I will focus on that one :).

Fujifilm X100V, X-H2, X-T4 and Any Other Fuji Camera will NOT Have X-Pro3 Hidden Screen – TRUSTED SOURCE

Fujifilm X100V

Let’s keep it short and clear: the Fujifilm X100V will NOT have the hidden LCD screen of the Fujifilm X-Pro3.

And to be even more clear: the Fujifilm X-Pro3 will be the ONLY Fujifilm camera with the hidden screen for the years to come. It’s unique to X-Pro3. Whatever comes, Fujifilm X-H2, Fujifilm X-T4, X-T40, X-E4, X100V, any GFX camera and more…. none of them will have the hidden screen.

Fujifilm X-Pro4? Well, I don’t know if it still has the hidden screen. As it is scheduled for 2023 anyway, I think not even Fujifilm itself knows at this point.

I hope that was clear enough. ;)

Fujifilm X100V Mock-Ups with Tilt Screens (X-Pro3 alike, too) and Weather Sealing, Report Says

Mark was at a Fujifilm X-Pro3 launch event. The interesting part of his report, is in regards to the Fujifilm X100V:

I also got a little bit of gossip from the Fujifilm rep on the x100 refresh: He said that he has seen three mock ups of potential designs, two of which have flip screens (with one modelled on the Xpro3’s). He also said that there have been serious discussions about weather sealing – whatever that means.

If the report is accurate, a tilt screen is an option Fujifilm is currently considering. Remains to see which kind of tilt screen it could be (but it could still be a fixed LCD).

Weather sealing?

I think that’s possible. FujiRumors already told you exclusively that the Fujifilm X100V will have a new lens, so Fujifilm could have grabbed the opportunity to re-design the lens making it weather sealed.

But I’d like to know in the poll below, if you think the Fujifilm X100V should have a tilt screen or not.

Should the Fujifilm X100V have a tilt screen?

Don’t Panic, the Fujifilm X-Pro3 will Cost LESS than $2,000

Holy moly, what a panic!

After the last Fujifilm X-Pro3 Japanese price leak, people started out panicing that it will cost more than $2,000.

But there is no reason to panic. As I wrote in the original price leak post:

  • the Fujifilm X-Pro3 will cost 235,950 yen (converter to dollar it’s $2,173)
  • the Fujifilm X-Pro2 costs 219,450 yen (converter to dollar it’s $2,022)

This means that, in Japan, there is an 8% price increase between X-Pro2 and X-Pro3.

Now let’s apply the same 8% price increase to US pricing:

  • X-Pro2 costs $1,699
  • X-Pro3 + 8% = $1,834

So, guys, the regular Fujifilm X-Pro3 will cost less than $2,000.

I don’t know how much the DURA X-Pro3 versions will cost, though.

The Fuji World is upside down!

When we first leaked the Fujifilm X-Pro3 tilt screen, I asked you if you liked it. The result can be seen down below.

  • Fujifilm X-Pro3 LIVE BLOGGING on FujiRumors Oct. 23 at 1 AM New York Time

As you can see, I myself voted “I don’t know”.

I was very skeptical, didn’t understand it, but decided to wait until I have it on my hands, to form my final opinion.

And then something happened.

Over the last few weeks, more and more of you guys in the comments said something like “the more I look at the new screen, the more I start to like it!”

I felt that something changed, and so yesterday, after the massive X-Pro3 leaks, I launched the same survey again here. And look how you voted.

It’s basically the exact opposite result of 1 month ago.

So what happened?

Well, I think we all just needed time to “understand” the idea behind the screen.

We had heated discussions about the screen:

  • read here – Fujifilm X-Pro3: You Don’t Get it, the new Screen is a Smart Move!
  • read here – Some LOVE the Fujifilm X-Pro3, and Here is Why!

And at the end it seems that, while surely still a divisive feature, the majority of us decided that Fujifilm’s attempt to create a different photographic with the X-Pro3 just makes sense.

And FujiRumors?
