Viltrox AF 13mm f/1.4 Now Shipping in Germany

As reported at the German website Photoscala, the Viltrox AF 13mm f/1.4 is now shipping via the German Rollei store here. The stores says it will ship it in 2/3 days. It costs €339 only!

It’s strange that it will ship so early in Germany. In fact, the lens is so far not yet listed at the Viltrox store itself, while BHphoto, who has the lens for pre-order here, expects to ship it by late April.

You can find the Viltrox 13mm f/1.4 for pre-order at BHphoto here and Pergear here.

UPDATE: TTArtisan AF 32mm f/2.8 not Coming Today (March 28)

Just a few hours ago reported how the rumor was spreading that the TTArtisan AF 32mm f/2.8 would be launched today, March 28.

Well, I have checked it and can say that it will come only for Nikon Z mount and only be released in China mainland.

The wait for the Fujifilm X Mount version (and all other mounts) is therefore a bit longer.

Damn, I forgot my golden rule: only trust rumors shared by FujiRumors ;).

Anyway, I guess the price and specs of the X mount version won’t be any different than those for the Z mount version, hence you can check out our previous article to get some information on its specs.

Fujifilm X-T4 Dynamic Range Data (vs X-T3, X-Pro3)

Photons to Photos has published its Fujifilm X-T4 dynamic range measurement data.

The Fujifilm X-T4 basically performs identical to the X-T3. The Fujifilm X-Pro3 seems to be superior, but as Blill Claff from PTP explained to us:

The X-Pro3 appears to have improved PDR but it is an illusion.

It’s well known that Fuji implements the ISO setting in an unusual way.
In this case they have given ISO 320 to ISO 12800 an addition 1 stop boost.

Fuji uses a proprietary Exif tag called “Raw Exposure Bias” to indicate how much they have shifted the raw data from “standard”.

Adjusted in Excel for Raw Exposure Bias we see that the X-Pro3 and X-T3 are essentially identical. (They shift to dual conversion gain at a slightly different point).
