BREAKING: 40MP Fujifilm X-H2 Price Leaked now on FujiRumors

IN STOCK CHECK

Leaking a price months before the actual announcement is definitely a risk for me. Because in my experience Fujifilm can change the price tag until just hours before the final announcement.

And given that the Fujifilm X-H2 40MP will be announced in September, there is still lots of time for Fujifilm to change plans.

However, I will share it anyway, because I have received multiple confirmations from several trusted sources that this is the current price tag. It does not mean it can’t change, but it means that Fujifilm is really doing everything possible to keep that price tag.

According to several highly trusted sources, the Fujifilm X-H2 40MP non-stacked 8K capable camera will cost $1,999.

That’s a crazy good price if you ask me.

Fujifilm X-H2S and X-H2 Sensor Names Leaked (IMX695 and IMX795)

The story is this.

I’ve received the supposed sensor sheets for the X-H2S and X-H2 from an anonymous source.

I was dubious, so I didn’t share them, as we don’t do clickbait here.

The anonymous source saw that FujiRumors could not be tricked into publishing it and after a few days shared the sensor sheet of the X-H2S with the whole world.

The whole world was hungry for clicks, hence published it.

At this point also the clickbait-reluctant FujiRumors had to publish it too, but I warned readers I am dubious about it.

Well, a trusted source wanted to dissipate any doubt, and passed me something, that lead me to write this follow up article.

And today we can also unveil the names for those sensors:

  • Fujifilm X-H2S: IMX695
  • Fujifilm X-H2: IMX795

Get ready, as now fake sensor sheets with those IMX names will start appearing on the web. ;)

Anyway, I know what you think….

You think, “who the heck cares about the name of the sensor! But is that some sort of sheet showing a side-by-side specs comparison of the X-H2S and X-H2 sensor?”

Oh yes, it is a side by side specs comparison. And as you can imagine, I’ve asked for more details to my source and the permission to eventually share it.

Even with Covid on holidays, FujiRumors is always at work for you ;).

And of course we got also the XF18-120mmF4 and XF150-600mF5.6-8 covered.

the Fujinon XF18-120mmF4 entered the Fuji world with little fanfare.

But here on FujiRumors we treat all lenses with the same dignity, so we will start the roundup with this lens. More precisely, the with the coverage of Taylor Jackson, who says:

  • there are four ways to zoom
    1) a zoom ring designed to feel like a manual zoom ring
    2) behind the zoom ring, there is a zoom lever
3 )there is a zoom button to zoom at a constant speed
    4) ou can zoom via touch screen controls
  • exposure stepping still exists [on this pre-production copy]
  • minimal focus breathing
  • very versatile

LEAKED: First Image of Fujifilm X-H2 Shows No Markings on Front of the Camera

As we know since the Fujifilm X Summit, Fujifilm introduces the 5th generation cameras with two sensors:

  • 26MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HS
  • 40MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR

The first model to come was the “HS” version, hence the Fujifilm X-H2S.

In order to mark this specific model, Fujifilm printed the letter “S” on the front of the camera.

All this considered, there was a wide-spread belief out there that the “HR” model would therefore have an “R” printed in front of the camera.

However, as we can see from the first leaked image of the Fujifilm X-H2, there is nothing at all on the front. Where the X-H2S has the “S”, the X-H2 will have nothing.

But hey, don’t blame me guys!

I already told you that leaked images of the Fujifilm X-H2 will be the most boring ever as it will use exactly the same body of the Fujifilm X-H2S.

On a positive note, having the same body means you’ll be able to use all your X-H2S accessories on the X-H2, including the world famous modular optional cooling fan ;).
