Message to Anonymous Source, Who Just Shared an Interesting Rumor

Dear readers, sorry to bother you with it, but I just got a message from an anonymous source. It came to me anonymously via rumor box, so I have no idea, who it is and how to contact it. My only way to contact the source is via FujiRumors. I hope you don’t mind.

To the Source

thanks a lot for sharing the rumor via rumor box a few minutes ago. If possible, I would like to discuss this with your further.

To discuss it further, you could use your private email (which, of course, I would keep 100% confidential). Some sources created a fake email account for this purpose. But also Direct Messages on Twitter and Facebook could be a way to talk to me.

If you decide to use the rumor box, that’s perfectly fine and I’m very grateful, but I won’t be able to interact with you. So just feel free to drop me some information in case you have more details. And to use a nick-name, if you want.

Again, thanks for sharing. I will work on the rumor and share it… and just in case, I’d be happy to talk with you further behind the scenes ;)

Fujifilm Keeps On Booming: Fiscal Year 2018/3 2nd Quarter Report is Out… Revenue up 13.3%!

I know, after the Fuji Xerox scandals in New Zeland, some sites tried to create alarmistic clickbait headlines, saying that the issue might be so serious to really endanger Fujifilm’s existence. But here on FujiRumors we like to be a tiny bit more factual and to look at the real numbers when they are so easily available… and those numbers are, once again, positive.

Hence, no panic… as we always said here on FujiRumors, Fujifilm is healthy, and especially its imaging division is growing and growing, quarter after quarter… or as Fujifilm writes: “revenue up 13.3% from the same period of the previous fiscal year“.

We already reported that things seem to go quite well for Fujifilm. Some managers even dream of 50% market share, and Fujifilm’s declared goal is to become Nr.1 mirrorless premium camera manufacturer within 2019. Moreoever, at lensrentals, the rental of Fujifilm lenses saw a 96% increse in 2017.

One more interesting little quote to highlight is that Fujifilm says they are “leading the mirrorless digital camera market“.

Down below I have copied all passages that talk about Fuji’s imaging division. Enjoy :)

Fringer Firmware Update

FRINGER Press Release: “V2.3 firmware is avaliable now. It disables in-camera lens correction which let to severe distortion when connecting Contax 645 lenses to GFX50s using Fringer smart adapter. Please download the firmware v2.3 and upgrade your adapter according to the steps in user manual (section 6). […]

As you know, Fujifilm lenses largely depend on software corrections. Whatever the file format you use, i.e. JPG or RAW, you cannot switch it off. Even in the view finder you can only see the after-correction results. Since currently all the smart adapters in the market are impersonating a G mount lens, the in camera lens correction severely disturbed the adapted lenses’ output.

Now, we totally solved the problem and integrated the solution in the firmware ver2.3. After upgrading your adapter, the Fujifilm’s lens correction would be disabled in the view finder and the JPG or RAW files the camera produces.
