Fujifilm X-Pro3: What No One Noticed Explained by Palle Schultz

Fujifilm X-Pro3

It’s been a while since Palle Schultz made his last video, but he is finally back, with in this hands the most controversial camera of 2019: the Fujifilm X-Pro3.

And he is back to tell us some things, that nobody noticed about it.

  • if left eye shooters use X-Pro3, their nose finally does not touch the display anymore
  • when you shoot, you don’t raise curiosity of people around you, who want to see what’s going on on the display
  • no display light shining on your face when you take down the camera
  • he likes that sort of “privacy” and the non intrusive aspect of not having a display telling him all the time what he is doing
  • he likes the removal of the D-pad. Less buttons, less interference. Less buttons you can accidentally push
  • it’s not possible to shoot more simple, with such an advance camera
  • he lost interest in shooting analogue, because of X-Pro3, as he gets the same sort of experience with it, without the hassle of getting and developing the film

Fujifilm X-Pro3 Dura Silver IN STOCK NOW

Fujifilm X-Pro3 Dura Silver

A few weeks ago, Fujifilm issued a press release, where they said the release of the Fujifilm X-Pro3 dura silver has been postponed to January 16.

But Fuji X-Pro group member Shannon already received his 2 days ago from Adorama, as you can see here.

So I checked, and indeed, Adorama lists the Fujifilm X-Pro3 dura silver as in stock and ready to ship.

Both, BHphoto here and AmazonUS here, still list them as available for pre-order only.

X-Pro3 Reviews

Recently Tony Northrup declared the Fujifilm X-Pro3 the “WTF” camera of the year.

This kind of annoyed Carlos Vega, who actually bought the Fujifilm X-Pro3, used it, and can’t understand how Tony Northrup can say that, even if he never ever touched the camera.

Now, personally I think people can have opinions about what they want when they want.

But Carlos surely has a valid point, too, as it definitely helps if you try out a camera, before making any conclusions.

So, if you want to read what Carlos Vega and others have to say about the Fujifilm X-Pro3, read it down below.

Latest Lightroom Update Fixes Classic Negative Film Simulation Bug

Classic Negative

Just as Mattias Burling (see video below), also many other fellow Fujifilm X-Pro3 shooters complain about the unusable Classic Film Simulation profile in Lightroom.

Well, I am please to report that the latest December update of Lightroom fixed this, and you can now properly apply the classic film simulation profile in Lightroom.

On the bad side: converting Fujifilm HDR mode raw files to DNG is still not supported. Let’s hope it will follow with the next update.
