Fujifilm X-T30 Eye Detection Quick Test and Coming to Fujifilm X-T3 in April

Eye AF Test

ZedProMedia annd Krzysztof Basel made a quick Fujifilm X-T30 eye detection autofocus tests.

Zed seems to be very happy with it, and says it is definitely better than the current eye-AF on the Fujifilm X-T3. He tested it with subjects at 15 feet (4.5 meters) distance and it was still tracking the eye.

We remind you that the Fujifilm X-T3 will get a firmware update with the upgraded eye/face autofocus tracking in April.

Iridient Developer 3.3.6 and X-Transformer 1.5 add Fujifilm X-T30 Support and Major Improvements

Iridient Developer

The Iridient Developer 3.3.6 update has been released with support for the Fujifilm X-T30 and a fix for the baseline exposure of some images shot with D-Range Priority set to Auto on the Fujifilm X-T3 and Fujifilm X-H1.

Iridient Developer 3.3.6 for macOS can now be downloaded here.

Full release notes for this Iridient Developer update here.

Iridient X Transfomer

Iridient X-Transformer 1.5 is now available for macOS and Windows!

This new update can be downloaded from at Iridient web site here.

This release includes:

  • support for the X-T30
  • Major improvements to lossless compression speed especially on high core count systems. The lossless image compression stage is now up to 2-8x faster!
  • Support for lossy DNG compression. Use of lossy compression obviously can potentially have some impact on file quality, but it can also have a pretty radical impact on DNG file size. With this new option the DNG file size can actually be even smaller than the camera JPEGs while while maintaining the terrific DNG/RAW editing flexibility and often producing better final image quality
  • A bug fix for the baseline exposure levels of some images from the X-T3 and X-H1 shot with D-Range Priority set to Auto.
