Back in September, Richard Wong had a talk with Viltrox. In that talk, the marketing manager of Viltrox said that the following lenses are coming:
Now the first image of the Viltrox 40mm f/2.5 has been shared on the web (see above).
No indication has been given on when the X mount version of this lens will be launched.
The Fujinon XF27mmF2.8 R WR and Fujinon XF70-300mmF4-5.6 were both announced in January 2021.
Well, for the past three years, both lenses where rarely in stock! Last time I noticed them in stock was back in May 2023.
But good news:
Both lenses are now back in stock at BHphoto here. And in case of the XF27mmF2.8 R WR, it’s in stock also at Amazon here.
At all other stores listed below both lenses are still backordered.
I love my XF27mmF2.8 R WR. In fact it was the only lens (mounted on my X-E3) that I took with me on my last hike (you can see the video here plus a few images I took).
I don’t own the XF70-300mm myself, but from people who own it I also just hear great things about it.
