I usually recommend 3 things, when it comes to firmware updates:
Always update, even if you think you don’t need the update, because often firmware updates hide improvements or bug fixes that are not reported officially.
BUT… if you need the camera for a paid job, do NOT update immediatly. In fact, very rarely, new FW udpates can introduce bugs. Therefore, wait a few days, check back on FujiRumors.com, and if you read no bug reports, go ahead and update
Every time Fujifilm updates a camera, I get about a dozen of emails of people having issues with the update. I always send them this Firmware update tips article, and it always fixes their problems :). So make sure to read it.
So, today, the day after Fujifilm’s firmware updates, it’s time to collect all feedback about possible bugs and new hidden features that Fujifilm might have introduced.

BUG, Really?
FUJFIILM GFX: Reported by Thai P. at out GFX facebook here: “In the new feature EVF + LCD display we could not use the touchscreen to zoom in. Sigh” But it’s not clear if that’s a real issue, or maybe something to change in the “image preview” settings. The community is testing. Some say it works flawlessly. So maybe just a false alarm. GFX shooters, feel free to let us know in the comments.
FUJIFILM X-T20: Reported by Grumpyrocker here: “The X-T20 now has a “Boost” symbol on the screen if high performance mode is enabled. But there’s no way of turning this off in the screen setup menu.”
Hidden Feature, Really?
Magnus shares here: “There’s one that seems to be undocumented. If you enable flashing highlights in your display settings, you get a bonus when using a Manual Focus lens with focus peaking: the focus peaking now flashes! I tried this on a sunrise photo walkabout this morning and it works brilliantly. Made it so much easier to nail my focus quickly.” Video demonstration here on facebook.
Salihin Salim, though, says here: “I believe the focus peaking only flashes when the focused part is overexposed. On darker parts or when I purposely underexpose the photo, the focus peaking doesn’t flash anymore.”
X-T2 AF Twice as Fast, Really?
Focus tracking of smaller objects seems to work much better if you look at this ZedProMedia youtube video, where he compares the old Vs. new X-T2 FW
First reports on FujiRumors by Joseph here: “Wow, I honestly wasn’t expecting that much of a difference in AF-C performance. AF no longer pulsates when AF-C is engaged, that was my biggest issue on the previous firmware. Edit: It still does, just not nearly as much.”
Tip
Justintime says here: “So Fuji say firmware adds:”If you press the function button allocated to the histogram, RGB histogram and highlight warning (High brightness portion will blink.) are displayed.” Noticed in Set up: screen set up: disp custom settings there is now a selection for “live view highlight alert. get blinkies without pressing function button (or assigning rgb histagram to a function button) and without rgb histagram filling half viewfinder. this feature is not in 2.10 and not documented as far as I can see”

Yesterday Fujifilm released a firmware update for the Fujifilm X-T2, X-T20 and GFX 50S, as well as new X RAW STUDIO and X ACQUIRE software. Full report and first looks here.
Fujifilm also released a new features guide for each one of these cameras.
At this stage, normally the third party seller offering the lens for sale via Amazon can change often. So make sure to check out the official authorized Fujifilm dealer list here and here, to be sure you don’t buy grey market gear with limited warranty.

Fujifilm has just released the Firmware updates for the Fujifilm X-T2, X-T20 and GFX 50S. All the details and download links below. First looks at the very bottom of this post (continously updated).

New (and free) FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO software is available now for Mac only. The Windows version will follow in late January 2018
Fujifilm X Acquire ver. 1.7 is out. Adds backup / restore function. Download the Mac or Windows version.
And for Fujifilm X-Pro2 and X100F owners: your firmware update is scheduled for late December. You can read here what it will bring you.
New AF tracking algorithm for moving subject: Thanks to the newly developed image recognition algorithm, the update enhances AF-C to track moving subjects twice as fast as previous firmware. In addition, the update also enhances tracking to be able to capture up to 50% smaller moving subjects than before.
Support “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO” for Macintosh: Once connecting a camera to a computer via USB cable, the “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO” enables users to convert RAW files with X Processor Pro. The fast batch processing will also be available. The “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO” can be downloaded from the FUJIFILM website for free.

Improve radio flash controller usability: The upgrade allows users to shoot with compatible third party studio flash in high speed sync. or TTL mode via their radio controllers.
Support for backup/restore of camera settings via “FUJIFILM X Acquire“: Once connecting a camera to a computer via USB cable, the “FUJIFILM X Acquire” allows users to backup/restore camera settings to/from a file. Copying all camera settings from one camera to another is available.

RGB histogram display and highlight warning: If you press the function button allocated to the histogram, RGB histogram and highlight warning (High brightness portion will blink.) are displayed.
The phenomenon is fixed that exposure compensation is not correctly reflected to brightness of live view on LCD and EVF when ISO setting is “AUTO”, exposure compensation is “C” and it is changed by the command dial.
Touch panel operation when using the EVF: The firmware update will make it possible to use the touch panel while looking into the viewfinder. According to the operation method, it’s possible to set the effective range of the touch panel to the full screen, right half, left half, or OFF.
Support for “Instax SHARE SP-3”: Additionally,” Instax SHERE SP-3″ has become compatible with this camera.

Addition of “Eye Sensor + LCD Image Display” in the View Mode: The update gives the “Eye Sensor + LCD Image Display” option in the View Mode that allows you to shoot through the viewfinder and check images on the LCD, just as you would with an SLR.
ON/OFF for 1/3-step shutter speed adjustment: The update allows you to turn off the Command Dial’s function to adjust shutter speed by 1/3 steps in order to prevent unintended adjustments.
Addition of “Shoot Without Card” mode: With the update, you can have the “Shoot Without Card” mode turned OFF so that the camera will not shoot when there is no SD card inserted.
Addition of “-6” and “-7” to EVF’s brightness setting: The update will extend the “EVF Brightness” setting options to “-6” and “-7” so that, even in an extremely low-light condition, the brightness of the EVF does not distract you from shooting.
Support for “Instax SHARE SP-3”: Additionally,” Instax SHERE SP-3″ has become compatible with this camera.
