Right in time: The Fujifilm X100T is shipping (and in stock at BHphoto,  BestBuy, AmazonUS and Pictureline) as well as the graphite Fujifilm X-T1 (in stock at BHphoto and Adorama), and Adobe released today version 5.7 or Lightroom and DNG converter 8.7, adding support for those cameras, as well as for the Fujifilm X30.

It also adds the classic chrome preset, but not for older X-series cameras.

FREE Darktable 1.6 RC with “initial X-Trans support” (for Linux and Mac)

 photo asd_zpseb70ce13.jpg

Back in August I told you that there was an experimental X-Trans support available for the free software Darktable. Well, you can now download the Darktable 1.6 official release candidate with initial X-Trans support here. The free software Darktable runs on most Linux/Unix systems and Apple OS-X. An initial feedback can be read at the Spanish site fujistas (translation).

It’s always good to have more (and especially free) options to convert X-Trans RAF files… but how does the new Darktable 1.6 RC perform? Feel free to drop your findings in the comments.

SAVE $200 + charity

There is only one spot left. So don’t let it slide by if you are thinking about joining this Fuji-cyntric group at the Rajasthan (India) Photo Workshop in February 2015. The workshop is organized by X-photographers Matt Brandon and Piet Van den Eynde. As they are both X-shooters and love Fujirumors, they decided to offer a $200 discount, exclusively for Fujirumors readers. Futhermore, they decided to offer the last places with a $200 discount and additional $300 per sold ticket will be donated to Matt’s charity initiative that supports NGO’s, the OFMP. Check out the details of the workshop here.
