On Monday I told you about the X30 with 2/3” sensor and asked you to contact me in case you have more information about it. Well, a new source kindly contacted me via email, confirmed the 2/3” sensor and also said that the X30 will feature an EVF.

Over at the FR-facebook community, Eric and Grant expressed their wish to replace the OVF with and EVF.

A good news for EVF lovers. But what do you think? Do you prefer an X30 with an OVF (85% coverage) or an EVF? Here is the poll:

But for now, take it with a grain of salt. I’m at work and trying to confirm it with trusted sources. And if you have some information about any Fuji X gear, you know the ways to contact me.

Fujifilm updated the lens roadmap… but nothing new for FR-readers ;-)

 photo pic_01_zps48f6e2df.jpg

Fujifilm just updated the roadmap here. Nothing really new for Fujirumors readers. As rumored moths ago, there will be a 16mm f/1.4 and a 90mm f/2. The Super-Telephoto should be a 120-400, according to new sources. I’ve added the rumored roadmap at the bottom. Also updated, the right&wrong rumor list in 2014 and the reliability rating.

So what’s new? Well, Fuji gave us an expected availability for the lenses and it seems that the new primes (90 and 16) won’t be weather resistant. Also, the 16-55 seems to have no OIS anymore.

“FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Shigehiro Nakajima) is pleased to release an updated road map for X mount interchangeable lenses.

A large-diameter medium telephoto lens (the XF90mmF2 R) features for the first time on the development road map for end 2015. The next available lens will be the XF50-140mm F2.8 R LM OIS WR. Following on from the XF18-135mm lens, this will be Fujifilm’s second weather resistant lens designed to partner its X-T1 camera.

Other updates to the road map include the previously announced “Ultra-wide angle lens” being confirmed as the “XF16mmF1.4 R” with a guide launch date of mid 2015. And the planned launch of the XF16-55mmF2.8 R WR lens moving to Spring 2015 and the Super Tele-Photo Zoom lens to Winter 2015.

Highly regarded for their outstanding image quality, resolution and well-built bodies, the unique X mount lens range now includes super-wide angle to super-telephoto range lenses and a large-diameter lens with rich bokeh and high resolution.”

IBELUX 40mm f/0.85 + X-T1: First Impressions and samples of world’s fastest lens for Fuji-X cameras

 photo fujixibelux_zps00f60352.jpg

Now, over at the Japanese site dc.watch (translation) you can read the first impressions of this lens Ibelux f/0.85 and see some samples and crops. From the (cryptic google translated) conclusions:

“In terms of earning the amount of blurring, image sensors have an advantage as large. This is a translation come led to the needs of the full-size mirror-less, but if IBELUX 40mm F0.85, can enjoy a large blurring in Micro Four Thirds machine and APS-C machine.

This time, it was trial in combination with X-T1 of the APS-C machine, but it was feeling of being with a large aperture standard lens to full size machine while you are taking. Can you blurred a lot there is no need to compromise on the subject in order to earn a blur, simply by opening the aperture on the spot.

Because it goes to the sharp prudently in F2.8 or later, there is no sensitive part that is common among habit ball, it is easy to use as a prime lens. How to use a snap lens basis because there is a strict weight, but will someone to be a good partner to work making. “

First samples taken with the X100T uploaded by David Hobby, but quickly removed

FR-reader Luke stumbled on this interesting dpreview thread. The screenshot can found at reddit.com.

Apparently, David Hobby uploaded a set of sample images from the X100T to his Flickr account by mistake. The images have since been removed, as he broke his NDA (non-disclosure agreement) by publishing them.

The name is nothing new for FR-readers. I told you over a month ago that X100T could be the name of the X100S successor. The focal lenght remains 23 (APS-C, according to mirrorlessrumors).

(TS= trusted source / NeS =New Source / AS = Anonymous Source / SRP = source who was right in the past, but not yet trusted)

  • X100T (TS + NeS + leaked by X-photographer David Hobby)
  • 24MP X-Trans sensor (NeS)
  • APS-C (ORS)
  • faster AF than X100S (NeS)
  • tilt screen (NeS)
  • new fixed lens (NeS)
  • 23mm (leaked by X-photographer David Hobby)
  • new EVF, better than X100S, but not as much as X-T1 (NeS)
  • wider phase detection area (NeS)
