Yes, the Nissin i60 Flash AIR System Will Be Compatible with Fujifilm Cameras

Share

air system

When Nissin announced their Nissin i60 flash, it was not really clear, from the press release, if Fujifilm cameras will be compatible with the Air System. Moreover, some sites, like flashhavoc, didn’t mention the Fuji X compatibility.

However, stores like BHphoto, clearly listed the Fujifilm Nissin Air compatibility as one of the product highlights.

Confused? Don’t worry… at the official Nissin i60 product page, you can now see, that Nissin’s Air system will be compatible with Fujifilm cameras… of course only once Fujifilm released a firmware update to support it.

I remind you that the Nissin i60 was originally planed to hit the market in mid June (report here), but has now been postponed to late July, according to BHphoto.

Hey X-folks… I have something you might be interested in :-)

According to a source, who was right in the past, Fujifilm will pretty soon release a Firmware Update for several X-series cameras and lenses. The source could not specify which cameras/lenses will be included in the udpate nor if this will be a “Kaizen” Firmware or just a bug fix / support Firmware.

But let’s hope for a nice Kaizen Update.

And no… it will not add support for the XF23mmF2 WR! ;) … enjoy your Sunday!

French Reseller Says: “Fujifilm X-T2 to be announced on June 14!”

Loric Gonzalez of the French Fuji X Group got the following information from a French Reseller: the Fujifilm X-T2 will be announced, in France, on June 14!

I’d love this to be true (it would mean that I wouldn’t have to cancel my Iceland trip in early July), but for now the information I have is that it will be announced in July.

But, since I’m a rumor site, it’s my job to inform you about the “French-rumor”.

At this point, some of you might remember, how even I said back in January 11, that the X-T2 will come in June (rumor here).

So what changed?

Well, as Fujifilm itself said here, the Fujifilm X-Pro2 sold better than expected and they had problems to fulfill pre-orders. That’s probably the main reason why they decided to push back the X-T2 launch a bit (July).

stay tuned,

Fuji X-Pro2 or X-T2? Which Camera is Better for Street, Wedding, Landscape (+ more) photography? – Multiple POLLS

Share

fbt

Should I get the X-Pro2 now or wait for the X-T2? A hot question in these days.

Recently we’ve tried to highlight the strengths of each camera:

Of course there is no final answer. It depends on your preferences and needs, what kind of photography you shoot and lenses you use.

For example, what do you prefer: shooting portraits with the huge EVF with the X-T1/X-T2 or take advantage of the corner placement of the viewfinder (X-Pro1/X-Pro2)? And when you are out on the street, do you prefer to attach the gorgeous, yet non exsitant 23mmF2 WR on the X-Pro1/2 or on the  X-T1/2? And what if you shoot wildlife with the huge XF100-400?

I know, some (many?) will make no difference between the X-Pro2 or X-T2, but maybe there are certain categories, where it’s slightly better to use the X-Pro2 over the X-T2… or vice versa.

Think about it before you drop your vote… think about the camera/lens combination, about the different features each camera has to offer and also about the details that influence the shooting experience (the look, the button layout, the grip and what not).

I’ve selected some categories. If there is something I should absolutely add, just let me know in the comments.
