To the source: about the X100V weather sealing. Yes, you told me about. But when you told me, I checked with sources, and some told me that the camera alone is not weather sealed (and now I understand why). This is why I could not share, as I got conflicting reports. Fujifilm X Summit Today 3 PM New York Time: What we Expect, What Not and We Hope

On February 4, at 3PM New York time, there will be the Fujifilm X Summit in London.

Of course there will be a live stream here on FujiRumors at:

  • NEW YORK – 3 PM of February 4
  • BERLIN – 9 PM of February 4

So what can we expect, what not, and what are our hopes? Let’s go through it:

→ WHAT WE EXPECT

We will definitely see the Fujifilm X100V coming. The first Fujifilm X100V leaked image is already out, and so are the full X100V specs, which for your convenience we have compared side by side with Fujfiilm X100F.

→ WHAT WE DON’T EXPECT

According to our sources, the final announcement, with full specs and pre-orders, for the Fujifilm X-T4 will be on February 26.

I don’t know, though, if there will be some sort of “Fujifilm X-T4 development announcement“, as it happened with the Fujifilm X-Pro3 back at the second Fujfiilm X Summit. So they could show us a Fujifilm X-T4 prototype, but don’t disclose any of the specs. That’s always a possibility.

Also, we don’t expect any Fujifilm GFX camera, as there will be none coming in 2020.

→ WHAT WE HOPE

Exactly one year after the first Fujifilm X summit in Dubai, where Fujifilm officially asked us which X lenses we want next in this survey, I think it would be high time to give us also a new roadmap. But I don’t know if there will be one. Or if they will wait for the Fujifilm X-T4 announcement to disclose it to the world.

Fujifilm X100V Product Catalogue and Additional Images Leaked

Nokishita leaked the the Fujifilm X100V product catalogue (the original is Japanese, but you can see the machine translated version above or access the it on dropbox here).

Cool thing: despite the tilt screen, the screen fits totally flat to the body when tilted in.

Notice the new Fujinon 23mm f/2 MK II lens, which FujiRumors leaked a while back.

After our rumor, that the Fujifilm X100V will have an improved 23mmf/2 lens, I got some emails from current X100 shooters, who are planing to upgrade, worried that their current Fujinon WCL-X100 II and Fujinon TCL-X100 II.

Fujifilm X100V Registered and Coming February 4

Finally… half a year after FR told you that the successor of the Fujifilm X100F will be called Fujifilm X100V, the registration of the Fujifilm X100V name has been spotted by nokishita.

Fujifilm’s “X100V (Black / Silver)” has been registered at overseas dealers only with the name of the new product yesterday. Announced around February 4?

The Fujifilm X100V will be announced at the Fujifilm X summit live stream on February 4.

As you know, FujiRumors exclusively told you already the release month and estimated price for the Fujifilm X100V.

One of many long term rumors I have shared back in the first half of 2019, was that the Fujifilm X100V would come with a new lens.

I also added shortly after, that it would still be a 23mm lens.

Many started speculating if maybe Fujifilm would have implemented an f/1.4 lens, but according to our information, the lens will be still a 23mm f/2 lens.

However, there will be tweaks making this new lens technically superior to the one on the X100F, which, I remind you, is the same lens we find on the original 12 megapixel Fujifilm X100 announced back in 2010.

So high time for an improvement on the lens!

But not today, as it’s time for our yearly 2019 rumors check, and to see if I did my homework well or not.

Also, there will be an accuracy rating of those rumors, that still could not be verified.

Keep in mind, there could be further rumors before the end of the year, in which case I will update this list!

But be warned: I will be incredible severe to myself, as I will include in the wrong rumor section, rumors that were actually correct at the time of sharing, but just turned out wrong because Fujifilm changed plans.

It’s the case for example of the new lens roadmaps. In fact, just a few days after our rumor, top Fujifilm manager confirmed here, that indeed there would have been new roadmaps in 2019, but 2019 is now ending, and nothing came. So I was wrong, but so was the top Fujifilm manager.

As you can see from our Fujifilm camera release timeline, Fujifilm usually released a new X100 camera every two years, but this time, they waited unusually long, and we gave you 3½ reasons why Fujifilm is wating so long.

But at some point, it had to happen, and now I can tell you when.

The Fujifilm X100V will see the light of the day in February 2020.

Moreover, our sources tell us that the price should be around $1,500, but that’s just the current estimate. However, in terms of price, things can change from here until launch, but right now Fujifilm is gravitating towards this price tag.
