Panasonic Announces First Organic Sensor 8K Camera for Summer 2020 – Coming to Fujifilm X and GFX too?

Panasonic has recently announced the launch of the first 8K organic sensor camera for the 2020 Olmypic Games in Tokyo.

By putting an organic layer on top of the CMOS sensor, Panasonic promises three advantages:

  1. Wide dynamic range
    Additional 2 stops of dynamic range, from the current 14 stops to a target of 15/16 stops
  2. Global shutter
  3. Build-in Variable ND filters
    The use of conductive film allows to control the light amount coming to the sensor. You can control lights without changing aperture. You can maintain depth of field

After the Tokyo Olmypic games, Panasonic will put this sensor also into cinema, studio and consumer cameras, including the Lumix line-up. Full interview in the video below.

Fujifilm has just released their new Instax Mini Link App today (iOS, Android) for the soon to come Fujifilm Instax Mini Link.

You can see the full details about the new Instax Mini Link printer here.

We already have plenty of Instax printers, from the compact Instax Mini LiPlay to the the square Instax SP-3 and the Instax Share SP-2 mobile printer. But, sadly, Fujifilm refuses to give us an Instax Wide printer.

Mega Fujifilm X-H1 Rebate Ends Today and a Fujifilm X-H2 Rumor Recap

As you can see from the screenshot below, the official Fujifilm page writes:

The FUJIFILM GFX System and X Series Camera Body and Camera Kit Product Savings and Promotional Offers are effective from August 4 – September 28, 2019 or while dealer supplies last.

However, it seems that the Fujifilm summer deals last day is actually today, September 29. So you have a few more hours to grab the super discounted Fujifilm X-H1.

Keep in mind: BHphoto will stop taking orders at 6:30 PM ET, so you have to order before, in order to be eligible for the mega X-H1 rebate.
