Fujifilm will introduce a new Film Simulation called „Classic Chrome“ (SRP)

A few months ago, there was an anonymous source with nick name, who shared a correct rumor about the X-T1 with us (SRP = source right in the past). This source just wrote me for the second time and told us that Fuji will launch a new Film Simulation called „Classic Chrome“.

That’s all the source said. So for now… take it with… a grain of salt.

If true, I think we will see this film simulation coming with the X30 and X100T… and maybe it could also be one of the features introduced in the rumored upcoming X-T1 firmware update. But that’s just my personal guess for now, so DO NOT take it as a rumor from a FR-source.

Oh, and feel free to share this rumor whereever you want, just make the courtesy to quote the source and to put a link back to FR. I have nothing against it to be quoted ;-)

X-T1: a new firmware update is coming !

According to a trusted source, a new firmware update for the X-T1 is coming. I don’t know when exactly (working on it), but it should not take long for X-T1 shooters to be able to update their camera. And it shouldn’t be just a simple bug fix, according to the source… so is a new Kaizen-firmware on the way?

Now, keep in mind that release dates for firmware updates are tricky… and X100 owners know exactly what I’m talking about, when Fuji postponed their update several times. But, in this case, if there are no surprises, it should not take long.

stay tuned… if I can dig up something more about this new firmware (and find out if other X-series cameras will get a new firmware too) I’ll post an update.

X30 lens: 28-112mm f/2-2.8 (same as X20)… but with dual ring (SRP)!

A source, who was right in the past (SRP), claims to have the following information: the lens on the X30 will remain the same (28-112mm f/2-2.8)! Also a new source shared with me the same information, thanks!

But, always according to the source, who was right in the past, the X30 will feature a new dual ring on the lens (Zoom ring + Control Ring).

Although the source was right in the past, I invite you to take it still with a grain of salt.

EDIT: Someone asked in the comments what a control ring is. Well, check out Fuji’s XQ1 page and you’ll learn more about it.

The rumored X30 specs list so far is: (TS= trusted source / NeS =New Source / AS = Anonymous Source / SRP = source who was right in the past, but not yet trusted / ORS = other rumor sites)

Hollywood knows it: the X100S is the perfect travel camera and uses it in “Hector’s Search for Happiness” : : a masterpiece (I mean the camera) :-)

There is a movie coming up called “Hector and the Search for Happiness”. It’s about a psychiatrist that changes his life and searches the globe to find the secret of happiness. Now guess what his travel camera is? Yes, the X100S will go with him all the way, and you can also see it in the trailer at 1:28 or in this image here.

This is definitely a masterpiece… I mean the X100S ;-). I don’t know if the movie is good too, but I have a good reason to watch it ones it’s out here in Europe.
