Silver or Black, that is the question. And of course, a question only you can answer, since “de gustibus non est disputandum“. My personal taste? There are X-cameras that I prefer in black (Fujifilm X-E2) and others that I prefer in silver (Fujifilm X100S).

And what about the Fujifilm X-T1, rumored to come in silver at the photokina?

In order to help us to answer this question, FR-reader Michel did some photoshop work for us and created a silver and black X-T1. And, although it’s not part of the rumors, I decided to include also the Titanium version of MJr (last image). Just for fun ;-).

On the same day, when the Fujifilm X30 was launched, I wrote a post about how low the pre-orders on the X30 were. My consideration was based on the AmazonUS P&S ranking, the biggest online retailer on the world, which showed the X30 at the 71th position of the ranking… but just for short time, as it was quickly kicked out of the first 100 top position.

Now, I consider the first day ranking on AmazonUS like the first polls on election days… for sure not the final result, but a pretty reliable indication about how people react to a new product.

Of course I could be wrong. Maybe people are just waiting to see what will come at photokina before pre-ordering anything. Maybe AmazonUS isn’t a good indicator for good or bad sales. Everything is possible, but based on my experience, what sells good on world’s largest online retailer AmazonUS, will very likely sell good also elsewhere. But I’m ready to post apologize if I’m wrong… but I’m afraid I’m not! And one of the reasons for the slow start is for sure the price. Customers perceive the $599 price tag as too high.

Now , in UK there is already the first deal on the Fujifilm X30, and it’s the following: buy the Fujifilm X30 and get a free leather case worth £70! Much has been already rumored, but not all. And thanks (!!!) to the anonymous source with nick-name, I can now post a X100T specs update:

The big news seems to be the HVF, which is confirmed to have a real time parallax correction in the OVF. The screen will be a non tilting 1.04 dot 3-inch LCD screen, which will make it bigger than on the X100S. The lens will remain the same. The focus speed is of 0.08 seconds. As previously rumored, there will be an electronic shutter speed of 1/32,000. The X100T will also feature 7 function buttons. Also expected, the Classic Chrome film simulation.

According to an anonymous source with nick-name, who also previously shared the 56mm APD rumor with us (and the price of the 56 APD and 50-140), the X100T will feature an electronic shutter, which allows shutter speeds of 1/32,000!

The electronic shutter is also part of the X-T1 firmware update rumors shared here.

Everything this anonymous source with nick-name has told has still to be proven by facts, but if it’s true, then it will quickly be raised to the status of “trusted source”! So thanks A LOT for sharing… but for now, pardon me, we still have to take what you share with us cum grano salis.
