According to an anonymous source with nick-name, who also previously shared the 56mm APD rumor with us (and the price of the 56 APD and 50-140), the X100T will feature an electronic shutter, which allows shutter speeds of 1/32,000!

The electronic shutter is also part of the X-T1 firmware update rumors shared here.

Everything this anonymous source with nick-name has told has still to be proven by facts, but if it’s true, then it will quickly be raised to the status of “trusted source”! So thanks A LOT for sharing… but for now, pardon me, we still have to take what you share with us cum grano salis.

Photokina, what else could come? New Flashes, silver X-T1… and X-T1 “limited edition” rumors are back!

Some rumors are entirely true. Others contain grains of truth; still others contain none at all. Plausible or implausible, truthful or false, rumors circulate because people are trying to get to the bottom of a matter.” KSENIJA BILBIJA (thx Eowyn ;-))

And now, let’s try satisfy our need to understand!

If rumors posted earlier today here are correct, next week we could have multiple announcements: the X100T, the 56mm f/1.2 APD and the 50-140 f/2.8 WR. But will Fujifilm have more to present at photokina? Now, here are 4 more rumors I’ve received from anonymous and new sources.

1) New flashes for Fuji X are on the way, coming “later this year“, probably presented at photokina (anonymous source)
2) Silver X-T1 (new source)
3) different body colours/textures for X-E2 (new source)

And for the fourth rumor, I need a quick introduction… and you SHOULD take it with the HOLY GRAIN OF SALT. You might remember that, back in June, I’ve spread rumors about a X-T1 upgrade (or limited edition). This rumor was wrong. Thanks to one of my sources, I was able to understand the dynamics of the leak, but I can’t share it here, of course.

But maybe (and I repeat, MAYBE), also that rumor contained a grain of truth. In fact, a new source shared the following information:

4) “There will be firmware improvements to the X-T1, but there will be a hardware improvement as well. A limited edition X-T1 will be available with it pre-installed but existing models could be upgraded with the money worth of new parts.” (new source)

That’s it, and remember, did you take the grain of salt?

Next week will be a hot Fuji week! I recommend you to follow Fujirumors also on facebook, google+, RSS-feed and twitter.

In fact, an anonymous source with nick-name said that, mid next week, Fuji will launch both, the new superbokeh lens 56mm 1.2 APD (price around $1400/1500) and the XF 50-140 2.8 R LM OIS WR for a retail price of $1500-1600. This has also been confirmed by digicame-info today.

Yep, this means that digicame-info confirmed the 56mm f/1.2 APD rumor, so you can be less sceptical about the rumor I posted yesterday ;-)

We also already know that the X100T will come on the 10th of September… will we have a multiple announcement on that day? I’ll try to find out the precise date of the lens announcements, but my guess: we will see all this coming on the 10th of September.

NOTE: Next week could also be the opportunity for you to support Fujirumors. In fact, if you pre-order new Fuji-gear using one of the shoplinks I’ll post here on the blog, a small commission is valued back to Fujirumors, but the final price on your camera or lens will remain exactly the same. No extra costs for you. Thanks in advance to those who decide to support my daily and restless work here on Fujirumors, to keep you up to date with the latest Fuji news and rumors 365 days a year for free.
