I’ve Pre-ordered my Fujifilm X-T5 in… and Japanese Fuji Manger Says What’s His Favorite Color (and Why)

I’ve sweat, I’ve struggled, I’ve doubted.

But at the end, I had to make a decision.

And although I’d be perfectly happy with any color, the sleek and stealthy elegance of the black X-T5 and the slightly more vintage feeling silver color, at the end I decided to pre-order the silver version. And which one did you pick? Feel free to let us know in the survey below.

But here is the thing.

The big announcement is now over, the X summit is done and the live blog is covered, and I have finally time to go through all the first looks myself. And one video (see above) grabbed my interest, as it touches exactly the question “silver of black” with one of the top Japanese Fujifilm managers.

When asked which color he would pick, he started by saying that both colors look great, but since Fujifilm used a new black color on X-T5, with a new technique to reduce particle size and increase blackness, he would go for the black one.

I must say that kind of made me almost reconsider my order, but at the end I will stick with silver. At the end I really could have flipped a coin and just take any color, as book look great.

The manager also shares some interesting tidbits in the interview, for example he discoloses how many years it took to design and develop the Fujifilm X-T1 (3 years).

I have pre-ordered the Fujifilm X-T5 in... (ONLY FOR THOSE WHO PRE-ORDERED X-T5)
