X-T1: No double SD-card slot, but super-fast writing speed (UHS-II) and 8fps with AF-tracking!

 photo 140110_new-fujica-4_zpsd7b49fbe.jpg

Dear FR-readers,

I’ve waited a few days now, hoping for other trusted sources to confirm the following rumor. But they can’t, for now.

So, once again, we have to rely on what the top trusted Japanese source told me a few days ago.

I can’t wait further, so hold on tight now… time has come to share it with all of you!

The Japanese source told me that the X-T1 won’t have a double SD-card slot. The truth is that it will feature an improved SD-card memory system.

This means that the X-T1 will support the UHS-II SD-cards for super-fast writing speed. For example, the Toshiba Exceria Pro UHS-II SD Card writes at 240 MB/s! In comparison, the “fast” UHS-I Sandisk Extreme Pro writes at 90MB/s (95MB/s read rate)!

Also drastically improved, the burst mode! The X-T1 will be able to shoot with 8fps with AF tracking. I had to take a look at my X-E2 manual, and it says that the X-E2 achieves a maximum continuous shooting speed of 3 fps with AF tracking (7 without tracking).

Well, if true (I hope other trusted sources can confirm this soon), then this, my friends, will be a hell of a camera!

This is all I know from trusted sources for now… if anyone has some more information, please contact me via email or anonymously via rumor box.

Stay tuned on FR, on January 28th ! And, if it’s the camera that you want, consider to buy it through the shoplinks on this blog. FR will get a small commission. No extra costs for you and at the same time you’ll support this blog and allow me to keep you up to date with the X-world rumors and news. Thanks a lot.

At this point I believe that also the new source, who told me that the AF of the X-T1 will be faster than the AF of the X-E2 may have mixed up AF speed with writing speed. But it’s just my theory. So here is an updated specs list.

  • announcement January 28th (trusted source)

X-T1: Name confirmed by Fujifilm itself + X-T1 designed by FR-reader Iannis!

[UPDATE: The X-T1 has been removed and replaced with the X-E2] FR-reader Eugene Sidorov (website) spottet the name X-T1 at Fuji’s FAQ site here. Thanks a lot Eugene!

Another FR-reader, Iannis, imagined how the X-T1 could look like, according to the rumors and the image leaked yesterday. Here are his two images, one with built in grip and one without.Which one do you like more? Thanks Iannis

Note the ISO-dial on the left site. I like that!

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

First X-T1 image? Ray Ohara (fujixphotographer) with the weather sealed X?

 photo fujixt1_zps5dcd633a.jpg

[UPDATE: The image has been removed]

Is this the X-T1 what fujiXphotographer Ray Ohara is holding in his hands? The lens could be the 35mm 1.4 (see the lens hood shape).

The image was spotted by FR-reader jpuser who shared it in the comments to the previous rumor post. MJr retouched it to see it better. See the original image here.

Now, what about this one? Is this the camera that will be announced on January 28th? Yes or no? Feel free to vote the poll drop your thoughts in the comments.

Hi all

Another long rumor story is going to end soon.

I’ve spread the first rumors (from trusted sources) of a weather sealed X coming in January at the end of October here. Right in time and reason enough for some of you not to buy the just announced X-E2 and wait until January.

Since then my radar was always finely tuned on it and one by one the specs list grow rumor after rumor. Now it grew to the list you can read at the bottom.

Sure, take it with a grain of salt, especially those specs coming only from anonymous and new sources… but I’m convinced: this X-T1 will be something really awesome.

Well, just now the trusted Japanese source told me the date: January 28th! That’s the day where the camera will be unveiled! So take note in your calendar and follow Fujirumors on that day!

Remember, January 28th is also the day where you can choose to support my work here on Fujirumors. If the X-T1 is the camera you’ve waited for and you pre-order it using one of the shoplinks (Amazon, Bhphoto and Adorama & Co) on this blog, Fujirumors will get a small commission on it. It won’t cost you a single penny extra on your camera and at the same time you’ll allow me to keep this site running also in 2014. So, if you enjoy to stop by this blog now and then, consider to support it with no extra costs for you.

Here is the specs list:

have great start in this new week,

P.S.: feel free to spread the word.

X-T1: “The EVF is the best on the market!” (anonymous source)

 photo weathersealed_zpsb6f0d1cf.jpg

best EVF on the market for the weather sealed X (X-T1)?

One of the key features of the upcoming X-T1 will be the EVF. An anonymous source (thx for sharing) told me that even EVF haters will have to admit that the EVF on the “new Fuji T camera” is “pretty damn nice”.

So what makes it so special?

The source said that on the “new Fuji T camera the new EVF is big and beautiful and the refresh rate is the best I’ve ever seen. Really. Greatest EVF on the market… Some cool tricks in the EVF.”

The source also said that “anyone thinking of getting an OM-D should hold off until the end of the month. So worth the wait.”

Message to anonymous sources: feel free to give yourself a fake name when you drop me messages via rumor box, so that I can recognize you in future, in case you decide to share information again.

Here are the rumored specs:

  • bigger (extra-large) and better (high performance) EVF / (trusted +  anonymous sources)
  • APS-C X-Trans sensor II (16MP) / (trusted +  anonymous sources)
  • double SD-card slot / (trusted sources)
  • weather sealed body / (trusted sources)
  • announcement at the end January / (trusted sources)
  • price range between X-E and X-PRO line / (new and anonymous sources)
  • FujicaST-like design / (source who was right in the past, but not yet upgraded to the elite-team of trusted sources ;-) )
  • faster AF than the X-E2 / (new source)
  • additional battery grip / (anonymous source)
  • name: X-T1 / (anonymous sources)

Any help is appreciated. If there is anyone out there who can tell me more about the weather sealed X (or any other X-gear), please contact me at fujirumor@gmail.com or also completely anonymously via rumor box.
