Fujifilm X100VI Additional Specs: 3.69 m-Dot EVF, 6.2K30P, Made in China, UHS-I slot and More

Here are a couple of specs, all of them passed to us by two new/anonymous sources (thanks to the first for contacting me after this post, and to the second for giving yourself a nickname).

Some of the specs are of course expected, some maybe a bit less (for example it’s the first X100 camera made in China), and there is one that is a bit different compared to our previous rumor (the price).

  • IS0125
  • 1/180,000sec shutter
  • Al subject detection and the latest AF algorithm
  • 3.69m-dots EVF
  • 6.2K/30P
  • 4K/60P
  • UHS-I  slot
  • a bit heavier than X100V
  • made in China
  • $300 more than the x100v (we previously reported “$200 more”) IMPORTANT COMMENTS ABOUT THE PRICE BELOW

The Price

So let me address only the price rumor.

When I shared the price of $1,599, I told you it was not based on our trusted sources. And now we got the price of $1,699 ($300 more than X100V), and we share it with you guys, but it’s also based on anonymous source (which again we would like to thank for the help).

So how do we go from here?

First: I will try to get it confirmed by trusted sources.

Second: Fujifilm can change its mind on the final pricing many times before announcement (and as we documented here, sometimes even shortly after announcement). So it could well be that both sources got the right info at the time they heard about it. But the question would be who of the two got the more updated information.

Third: For now, I will not change my original rumor of $1,599. And the reason is that, as we have documented here, usually there is a 250/300 price difference between US Dollar and EURO. So X gear that costs $1,500 in USA, will cost about €1,700/€1800 in Europe.

And because we know from trusted sources that the Fujifilm X100VI will cost €1,799, it would be rather unconventional for Fujifilm to price it at $1,699, so with only 100 difference.

To be more in line with their usual price gap between Euro and USD, the X100VI should be priced $1,599 or even $1,499. Which is why, for now, I will keep the $1,599 price as the “official” rumor.

So, that’s all for now. Stay tuned, because more is coming.

RUMOR: This is the Fujifilm X100VI Battery

→No Time to Read or Watch: it’s this battery here

One of the most urgent questions regarding the Fujifilm X100VI is:

will it use the NP-W126S battery or the bigger NP-W235 battery?

Well, today we have the answer.

LEAKED: First (Pixelated) Images of Fujifilm X100VI Unveil no D-Pad

These are very likely the images of the Fujifilm X100VI.

The images are partially pixelated and overall low resolution, and yet they unveil something that you guys asked me: will it have a D-Pad? The answer based on these images is clearly “no”!

How can we be sure that it is not the X100V?

Well, it looks like next to the DISP/BACK button there is an additional logo printed (probably bluetooth logo). And that one is not there on the Fujifilm X100V. So this is a different X100 camera.

And THANKS a lot to the FR-reader for sending them to us.

Fujifilm X100VI to Cost €1,799 (and $1,599?)

I have been asked about the Fujifilm X100VI price in Euro.

Well, according to our trusted sources, it will be €1,799.

And one more thing regarding the price in US Dollar.

I told you recently that according to a new source it would be of $1,599 (hence $200 more than X100V). I also asked you to take it with a grain of salt for now until I can confirm it by trusted source.

Now, given that the price in Euro will be €1,799, the US price of $1,599 is definitely realistic.

As a reference:

  • X-T5 costs $1,699 in USA and €1,999 in Europe
  • X-H2 costs $1,999 in USA and €2,249 in Europe

So there is this 250/300 difference between the USD and EURO price. And if confirmed, there would be a 200 difference also between the US/EURO price of the X100VI.

But an anonymous source (who decided to use a nickname – THANKS), gave us a different price in USD. I am now checking that information (and also the rest you’ve sent me, thanks a lot), and will share an update here on FujiRumors. And if I can’t check the price in a reasonable time with my trusted sources, I will share the one given to me by the anonymous source anyway.

It’s just, usually when I need to correct a potentially wrong rumor, I want to to be sure the correction is 100% the final word on that particular rumor. That’s why I take a bit of time to try to get it confirmed by trusted sources.

It could also be that both sources are accurate, just one source got a more updated information than the other.

Fujifilm really loves to change its mind on the pricing a couple of times before they release the gear. And actually it also happened that Fujifilm made rapid changes shortly after announcement, as for example with the Fujifilm X70, which was launched for $799, and just a few days after launch, while still on pre-order, Fujifilm lowered the retail price to $699 as you can see here.

Anyway… I will try to figure out which is the most up to date information.

RUMOR: Fujifilm X100VI only 1 Millimeter Thicker than X100V

I already told you that the Fujifilm X100VI would have basically the same size of the Fujifilm X100V.

The size difference would be so negligible, that it would be noticeable only on paper.

But some FR-readers told me that even just a few millimeters here and there would make a significant difference in terms of perceived size of the camera in the hands.

So, let me be more precise today.

The Fujifilm X100VI will be just 1 millimeter thicker than the X100V.

That’s all: 1 millimeter of difference.

I hope that now you’ll agree that the size difference is really extremely negligible and that we can say the X100VI has basically the same size of the X100V.
