Pre-Order Cactus Wireless Flash Transceiver V6 II … brings HSS to Fuji X System

Cactus V6 II

The Cactus V6 II Wireless Flash Transceiver is now available for pre-order at BHphoto.

Able to support numerous brands and types of speedlights and flashes, the Cactus Wireless Flash Transceiver V6 II is a versatile and capable flash trigger that offers added functionality to make remote flash work easier. This model is able to support Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Olympus, Panasonic, and Pentax flash systems with ease and uses 2.4 GHz radio communication to trigger other units from up to 328′ away. The main advantage of the V6 II is high-speed sync, of which two modes are offered. A normal setting uses a protocol depending on the camera system involved whereas the Power Sync can boost the flash for moments when Normal HSS is not powerful enough.

Cactus also extends HSS capabilities to Fujifilm cameras despite them not yet supporting high-speed sync at the time of writing

BREAKING: Fujifilm X-T3 Will Cost Less than Fujifilm X-T2 (less than $1,599) – TRUSTED SOURCE

Fujifilm X-T3 – The Affordable Flagship

Busy news days! Here a few of the articles published in the last 36 hours on FR:

A powerful new sensor, a fast processor, 20fps bursts, packed with many new features, the best Fujifilm X series camera ever made… and yet, the Fujifilm X-T3 won’t be that pricy as one could imagine.

In fact, I have been told by a trusted source (thanks), that the Fujifilm X-T3 will cost less than the Fujifilm X-T2 at it’s current official price tag (without rebates), hence less than $1,599.

$1,499? $1,399? Or even less, maybe $1,299 like the X-T1 launch price? Now that thing starts to be affordable also for my savings account :).

But one thing is sure: competition is a good thing for us customers, since I doubt Fujifilm would have sold the Fujifilm X-T3 for a lower price than X-T2, if the Full Frame Sony A7III would not have hit the market with a $2,000 price tag.

And if the rumor of the X-T3 stacked sensor is true, then the Fujifilm X-T3 is basically a Sony A9 for about 1/3 of the price.

You better hold on tight guys, because a whirlwind of rumors is waiting for you here on FR. Don’t miss it and join us on Facebook, RSS-feed, Instagram and Twitter.

Elinchrom Support for FUJIFILM Coming in September 2018

Elinchrom for Fujifilm

Back in March 2017, Elinchrom promised here: “We Will Support Fujifilm as Next

Since then, not much happened.

There was this Rotolight announcement, which said that Elinchrom support for Fujifilm will come in 2018. And we reported about how Elinchrome said via private Twitter message to a FR-reader, that they will support Fujifilm this summer.

But finally we have an official statement by Elinchrom here:

Fujifilm, the wait is over: Users of the long-awaited Transmitter for Fujifilm will soon be rewarded for their wait. The Transmitter PRO for Fujifilm will be available in September.

I tell you what… I believe it only when I see it!

Godox, Profoto, Nissin, Broncolor, Metz, Cactus, Priolite, Jinbei/Orlit, Conomark and more companies have already added Fujifilm support.

Elinchrom Fujifilm Support Coming This Summer

A FujiRumors reader (thanks) had a chat with Elinchrom. He asked them when they will finally support Fujiflm, and their answer was that “it is coming this summer” and that more details will be announced “by the end of the month [June]”.

Now that was fast, Elinchrom, considering that you promised “Fujifilm support as nextback in March 2017 :).

Godox, Profoto, Nissin, Broncolor, Metz, Cactus, Priolite, Jinbei/Orlit, Conomark and more companies have already added Fujifilm support.

Phottix Trigger for Fujifilm Coming “Later this Year (2018)”

Phottix

In 2017, Phottix hinted twice that Fujifilm support will come. But since the last hint back in June, we haven’t heard much about it.

Now FR-reader Shaun Maluga had a chat with Phottix, and asking about the Fujifilm version of the Phottix Odin II Fuji Trigger, they answered:

The new AC adapter will be released shortly and we are working on a Fuji trigger […] The Fuji trigger is slated for later this year.”

& The Rest

Godox, Profoto, Nissin, Broncolor, Metz, Cactus, Priolite, Jinbei/Orlit, Conomark and more companies have already added Fujifilm support.

Elinchrom recently said “we working on Fujifilm support“.

Priolite Adds Radio Trigger Support for Fujifilm and Elinchrom “Working on Fujifilm Support”

Priolite Fujifilm Support

On Friday, the European studio strobe lighting company Priolite announced on their instagram here, that it is introducing a version of its RC-HS-F radio trigger for Fujifilm X-Pro2, X-T2 und GFX 50S cameras that will allow syncs at up to 1/8,000 of a second.

Priolite has just a small market share, but there are Fujifilm X shooter using their products, and who lookf forward to Priolite support, such as the FR-reader, who informed me about this news.

Elinchrom

Godox, Profoto, Nissin, Broncolor, Metz, Cactus, Priolite, Jinbei/Orlit, Conomark and more companies have already added Fujifilm support.

Anyone missing?

Oh right, Elinchrom! They don’t seem to be in a hurry to support Fujifilm.

As we reported here, Elinchrom should add Fujifilm support in 2018 according to a press release they made with Rotolight. But so far nothing has happened.

So I did search on their facebook page, and I have found the following Elinchrom statement, made last week: “We are working on it“.

Sooner or later….
