A few months later, in November, Profoto announced that pre-orders and sales for the Profoto A1 are very strong, hence the Canon/Nikon version will be delayed… and as a consequence also any other version, which should have followed after CaNikon.
But here comes the bad news.
The answer was the one you can see in the screenshots below.
Profoto Air Remote TTL-F compatible with X-T20, and soon with X-E3
Official Profoto Statement
FUJIFILM has just released a new firmware for its camera X-T20 (Ver.2.0.0), which makes it compatible with Profoto Air Remote TTL-F.
From late April 2018, Air Remote TTL-F will also be compatible with Fujifilm X-E3 through a X-E3 FW upgrade from FUJIFILM (Ver.1.2.0).
Your camera’s Shutter Type setting should not be “Electronic Shutter”.
Make sure to use the latest firmware on your Air Remote TTL-F and Profoto flashes.
Well, besides the Fujifilm X-H1, which is compatible out of the box with the Air Remote TTL-F, Profoto announced that Fujifilm will release a firmware upgrade in April to make it compatible also with the Fujifilm X-T20.
Would be great if they could add also support for X-T1, but at this point we can be fairly pessimistic that this won’t happen.
REMINDER: The Fujifilm X-T20 will get a massive firmware update in April, that is definitely worth to be called a “Kaizen update”. We have shared the full details of the X-T20 update here.

Profoto Fujifilm Support
Currently the Profoto Air Remote TTL-F supports Fujifilm GFX 50S, X-T2, X-Pro2 and X100F, but on their official page here, they say:
“Other relevant cameras will be made compatible in the future through camera firmware upgrades by Fujifilm.”
I hope this means support also for older Fujifilm X-Trans cameras like the Fujifilm X-T1.
Thanks for the link Andrew ;)
I konw about the quality of Profoto gear, and you’ve got to pay for quality, no doubt.
However, the price is quite hefty, and to me nothing beats the price/value equation of Godox gear.
Consider also that VERY soon, Godox will release the Fujifilm version of it X-Pro transmitter, which has far superior UI and controls than any other Godox trigger currently available for Fujifilm. The Canon version is sold for $69 at Adorama.
I remind you that recently DPReview declared the Godox Ving V860 II best accessory of 2017.

The Profoto Air Remote TTL-F for Fujifilm starts to be available now, such as here at PCHstore.
The Profoto Air Remote TTL-F offers full TTL and HSS compatibility with B1X, B1, B2, D2 and Pro-10 and is compatible with the Fujifilm GFX 50S, X-T2, X-Pro2 and X100F – source ppl.de.
Back in mid-September, Profoto announced the Profoto A1 studio light.
Just a few days later, here on FujiRumors we broke the news, that the Profoto A1 will come also for Fujifilm. Profoto’s plan was to release the Canon/Nikon version in late November, and the Sony/Fuji version following later on.
The good news: Profoto A1 pre-orders seem to be strong
The bad news: according to Profoto, pre-orders are so high, that the release for Canon/Nikon version has been delayed from late November 2017 to late January 2018 (via dc-watch). I hope this does not mean also the Fuji version will be delayed, too.
And while Profoto, Elinchrom & Co sleep, the Godox system is filling the flash-gap and rapidly becoming the favorite flash system amongst Fuji shooters.
The Godox price/value equation is simply unbeatable… and now, until November 30, it’s even more discounted:
Godox X1T-F controller (save 5%): BHphoto, Adorama
Godox TT350F (save 5%) : BHphoto, Adorama
Godox TT685F (save 10%): BHphoto, Adorama, AmazonUS
Godox V860IIF (save 10%): BHphoto, Adorama
Godox AD200 + X1T-F Trigger (save 6%): BHphoto
