Hollywood knows it: the X100S is the perfect travel camera and uses it in “Hector’s Search for Happiness” : : a masterpiece (I mean the camera) :-)

Share

There is a movie coming up called “Hector and the Search for Happiness”. It’s about a psychiatrist that changes his life and searches the globe to find the secret of happiness. Now guess what his travel camera is? Yes, the X100S will go with him all the way, and you can also see it in the trailer at 1:28 or in this image here.

This is definitely a masterpiece… I mean the X100S ;-). I don’t know if the movie is good too, but I have a good reason to watch it ones it’s out here in Europe.

Now, X100/S owners, what is your experience when you travel with it?

XF lens deals coming tomorrow: discount on some XF lenses : : XF 27mm will drop from $449 to $299!

Share

 photo sunday_zps93427394.jpg

Ok, it’s not the absolutely insane $250 price drop of last winter, when even EU-residents bought the 27 (and other XF lenses) in USA, payed taxes and shipping, and still saved a lot of money on it. But this one is a great deal too. In fact, according to information I’ve received, there will be a $150 price drop on the XF 27mm lens starting tomorrow (until September 6).

The 27mm won’t be the only lens in offer. Also the 60mm will be $100 off. The XF 18-55 and 55-200 are already $100 off in stores like BHphoto and AmazonUS.

And if there are some EU-residents who order the XF 27mm again from the States, let me know how much you’ve payed for it.

Remember that, if you’re interested to buy one of these lenses in offer, if you choose to do it using one of the shoplinks I’ll share here on FR, you’ll support this blog. Not a single penny extra costs for you, but a small comission is valued back to Fujirumors. That will help me to keep this site running. Thanks in advance to those who decide to support Fujirumors.

Long Live the Fuji X30: Battery life better than X-T1 + USB charging (anonymous source)

Share

 photo EVFONLY_zps7ee85cbd.jpg

The X30 might be the next release in Fuji’s house. And a good soul out there decided to share, anonymously (and unfortunately didn’t even use a nick name), the following rumor with all of us.

The X30 will have a much longer battery life (the source said “over 400 shots”. The X20 can take about 270 shots, while the X-T1 approx. 350 frames). Plus: you’ll be able to charge it via USB cable.

The anonymous source didn’t say if Fuji will continue to include an external charger too, or just an USB-cable… and as I cannot contact it directly, well, in case you read this post dear source, please let us know (if you know).

For now, please take it with a grain of salt.

However, the question now is: do you prefer the classic external charger or the USB-charging? Feel free to drop your thoughts in the comments and to vote the poll.

The rumored X30 specs list so far is: (TS= trusted source / NeS =New Source / AS = Anonymous Source / SRP = source who was right in the past, but not yet trusted / ORS = other rumor sites)

– 2/3 sensor (TS + NeS)
– EVF only (TS + NeS)
– EVF specs: 2,36mp, x0.62 magnification and 100% coverage (TS)
– Announcement: at photokina (ORS) – FR-sources just said “this summer” (AS)
– Battery: more than 400 shots with one battery and USB-charging (AS)

P.S.: Feel free to make my daily work here on Fujirumors a bit easier and to share rumors with us. You can do it via email (don’t worry, your identity won’t be revealed, never ever), or 100% anonymously via rumor box. In this case feel free you to invent a nick-name, so that I can, eventually, recognize you in future.

A fresh new start, a new identity… and start sharing your knowledge ;-).
