It will have the X-Trans sensor II of the X100S (16MP), a better LCD, Lens Modulation Optimizer and WiFi.

It’s said to come on October 18, so stay tuned and follow Fujirumors via facebook, twitter and RSS feed.

Remember that new sources told me that there will be one more camera released the same day.

[UDPATE: X-E1 successor confirmed by the trusted Japanese source. Read the first specs here]

Time for a rumor update, but first of all thanks. Thanks to all those readers who shared informations with Fujirumors. Keep it up!

And now the rumors ;)

In the last days I’ve received several rumors from new and/or anonymous sources. Now here is a summary for you:

– New sources told me that 2 new X cameras will be announced in October.
– Anonymous sources said that the X-E1 successor would feature the X-Trans II sensor of the X100S.
– xjrumo confirms the release date around October 20 as already rumored here. The precise date should be October 18! (src-xjrumo)

If true, this could mean that Fuji could make a double announcement on October 18. The X-E2/X-E1S and … ?

These information fits with what I’ve already told you from trusted sources: there will be 2 more X-cameras after the X-A1 this year.

You should definitely stay tuned for more these days and be follow FR on October 18.

Stay tuned on Fujirumors and spread the word via facebook, twitter and RSS feed.

cheers
Patrick

Fuji XF 55-200mm: [shopcountry 12892]

You can now read the whole DPR review of the XF 55-200 here: “The XF 55-200mm F3.5-4.8 R LM OIS is a relatively portable, well-made telephoto zoom that delivers consistently fine images. Focusing is essentially silent and reasonably fast, at least with static subjects, and the optical image stabilisation works very well. It’s a natural complement to the XF 18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS zoom.”

Zeiss Touit 2.8/12: [shopcountry 13645]

Touit 12mm review at lenstip.com: “The Zeiss Touit 2.8/12 is a well made lens and its parameters make it fill the gap in the Sony NEX and Fujifilm X systems. It would be difficult to have any real objections to a lens which provides an angle of view of almost 100 degrees and useful images across the frame already up from the maximum relative aperture. You can only hope Zeiss won’t stop after producing the 2.8/12 and 1.8/32 models; we do hope it will present other mirrorless instruments in the near future. We also count on the fact that, as a part of an offer-enlarging strategy, sooner or later Zeiss will produce lenses with Samsung NX and Canon M mounts so they will fit other APS-C sensor systems as well.”
