Ok, this is the X-E2s… an X-E2 with an “s”marking and with a slightly different hand grip. And the hand grip might be already the only “hardware-improvement” compared to the X-E2 (still 16MP X-TransII sensor and EXR II Processor, no tilt screen)

The improvements are Firmware based, like the Electronic shutter, New AF-system and Classic Chrome (CC already available alsoin X-E2. X-E2s will not have new X-Pro2 Acros film simulation).

The original X-E2

Here are the first official images of the XF100-400, leaked by a trusted Fujirumors source :-)

The XF100-400mm F4.5-5.6 OIS WR will have a minumum focus distance from 1.75 m. Zoomed out, it will be 270mm long, while on the wide end it will be about 6cm shorter.

Filter size 77.

It will weight 1375g and have 21 elements / 14 groups.

As rumored earlier, it should cost around €1,800 and it will be announced on January 15.

According to our sources, the Fujfilm X-E2s will feature the same 16MP X-TransII sensor of its predecessor, the X-E2.

Always according to FujiRumors sources, the most relevant changes/improvements compared to the X-E2 will be firmware based.

It will be announced along with the X-Pro2 and the XF100-400, on the 15th of January.

I hear you are scared now about your long rumored X-E2 Firmware update. Don’t worry. I have multiple confirmation from sources and even Fujifilm itself said that it will come in… mid-January. Just read this post.
