I‘m Thomas from COSYSPEED and have a maybe interesting idea.

We are developing a CAMSLINGER bag for outdoor active photographers, like climbers, hikers or bikers. The CAMSLINGERs are especially designed for mirrorless cameras.

The first step of a „CAMSLINGER Outdoor“ prototype is currently under a field test by Swiss photographer and climber Stephan Wiesner. It would be really cool, if your readers could support us with their comments, ideas and suggestions. So we could develop the next step of prototypes using your readers comments and share the results.

It would be great if you could share the video Stephan Wiesner made during a mountain tour in the Alps.

Ok, you’ve read it here: it’s rumored that the Fujifilm X200 will come in the 2nd half of 2016 with a 18.5mm (28mm equiv.) lens, just like the Fujifilm X70

NOTE: Low Credibility Rumor for now. Moreover, this is a pretty early rumor, so take it with an extra portion of grain of salt.

New Fuji X Secrets Starter Workshop in Germany

March 19 marks the date of the first Fuji X Secrets Starter workshop. The full-day seminar is hosted by Rico Pfirstinger and targets new users and DSLR converts who want to make the most out of their new X-series camera.

Did you know that factory settings only unleash a small portion of your X camera’s potential? Rico Pfirstinger’s new Fuji X Secrets Starter workshop offers you a better alternative and tells you exactly what settings to change, and why.

The full-day seminar covers your camera’s exposure modes and demonstrates how to use the live view and live histogram to perfectly expose each shot. It also explains Fuji’s powerful (but little known) DR function that not only helps extending the dynamic range, but can also be used to create high-key images or enhance portraits.

What AF mode is best for different situations, which AF frame size are we supposed to pick, and how can we best track moving subjects? How do we shoot attractive portraits in bad light, and what are the pros and cons of using face detection or the optical image stabilizer? What can we do with the built-in RAW converter? Ricos’s workshop provides solid and practical answers to these and many other issues, offering insights on everything you always wanted to know about X, but were afraid to ask.

Fuji X Secrets Starter is made available in cooperation with FUJIFILMSchool and will be held on March 19 from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m. at Fotohaus Brinke in 91301 Forchheim, Germany. Thanks to reliable FujiRumors sources we already know since months that the Fujifilm X-T2 will come this summer.

It’s hard to say the exact month (at the moment the announcement is rumored to be in June), because Fujifilm might decide to push it back a little bit to favor the (currently very strong) X-Pro2 sales. However, Fujifilm feels the pressure of the X-Shooter community to release the X-T2 (as you could read on this interview with Fuji Managers)… they can’t wait too long to release it… Summer release sounds just right for me.

That said, if what I share today with you isn’t a typo, the first Fujifilm X-T2 Pre-Production samples have already been shipped to Beta Testers. In fact there is an image, that Fashion Photographer Felicia Van Ham tagged on Instagram with #XT2 and #Fujifilm (thanks to the FR-reader for the link).

Typo or not? I don’t know.

But what we know thanks to the “X-Pro2 boxes leak” in late October 2015, is that Fujifilm can send pre-production cameras to Beta-Testers at least 2½ or 3 months ahead of the announcement of a new product… and if the June Announcement Rumor is correct, there could be already Beta-Testers out there with an X-T2.

The wait for the X-T2 is not that long anymore… but it seems that this does not influence negatively the X-Pro2 sales, which are currently very strong (“more pre-orders than expected“, as Fujifilm announced here).
