He describes very single feature, function and menu item and detail how they can be used in real life shooting situations as well as pro insight and practical tips. He also talks about how to operate the cameras efficiently, how to shoot fast action with the X Series cameras, how to tweak the film simulations and customize the look of their imagery, and how to customize the operation of the camera in a way that matches their own shooting style and more.

  • Damien Lovegrove detailed report about using Godox flashes with Fujifilm cameras at our Fujifilm GFX facebook group. He says “the results have exceeded all my expectations […] So many times I’ve seen photographers complain about 1/125th second sync speed on the GFX but now 1/4000th gives an identical flash power output using the Godox system as does 1/125th second. Is this trickery something to do with Fujifilm’s circuitry or is it a Godox thing? “.

Another nice news:

  • According to reports coming from the Godox facebook group (and that I have found via petapixel), just like cactus here, now also Godox offers Cross-Brand TTL and HSS. Strangly, it seems that Godox never officially announced this feature, but it seems to work just fine. Robert Hall put together a nice piece over at petapixel. Make sure to check it out. Reminder: a recent Godox Firmware update added Fujifilm support for all 2.4GHz lights (TT685, V860II, TT350, AD200, AD360 , AD600) – download here.

The Flashpoint R2 TTL Transmitter (re-branded Godox X1T-F) is now available for pre-order at Adorama and the Godox TT350F is now in stock at AmazonUS here and Adorama here. The Godox/Flashpoint TT685F and V860IIF for Fujifilm are available for pre-order at Adorama.

Fujifilm X-E3 Will Have Bluetooth

Just yesterday I shared here, that a trusted source told us the Fujifilm X-E3 will have “some new technologies not previously seen on any of the other Fujifilm cameras”.

Well, I can now tell you that one of these new features will be bluetooth.

In the comments to yesterday’s rumor I saw many of you speculating it could be IBIS. I have no rumors about it, but frankly, I’d be very surprised if it had in body image stabilization. So my personal guess is that it won’t have IBIS.

I’m trying to figure out what the others are (and to understand if they are hardware or firmware based), so if there is anyone out there, who can help me, feel free to contact me at fujirumor@gmail.com (use a fake email account if you want) , via personal message on Facebook and Twitter or you can go the 100% anonymous route and share by using the rumor box (in this case, it would help me if you would give yourself a nick-name).

All new Lightroom scripting plug-in which should avoid some of the limitations and drawbacks of “Edit In”, now converts Fujifilm camera star ratings to standard XMP type metadata, option to translate the in-camera film style setting to Lightroom specific metadata too and more…
