Fujifilm X-Pro3 Owners Can Return Their Viltrox Lenses and No Problems with Fujifilm X-T4, X-T3 and Other Cameras

Yesterday on FujiRumors we reported how all Viltrox autofocus lenses can damage Fujifilm X-Pro3 cameras. To see an image of the damage, check out this article.

Well, now Viltrox is letting customers know, that Fujifilm X-Pro3 users can return their Viltrox lens. They also say that there is no problem with other cameras, such as the Fujifilm X-T4 and Fujifilm X-T3.

With the Fujifilm X-T4 about to hit the market (and actually already shipping in some), Fujifilm managers all over the globe are giving tons of interviews to make the world ready for the best camera it has ever seen to date: the Fujifilm X-T4 :).

Of course, I pre-ordered it, too :)

Now, for your convenience, I always provide a practical summary of all manager statements in my various article, and yet, with so many interviews, there might be some statements you might have missed anyway.

So I thought I filter out those statements, that I consider most relevant, and put them all into this article.

Major Fujifilm X-T3 and GFX100 Firmware Update Coming May/June

Let me first say things how they are.

Fujifilm NEVER announced any major firmware update for Fujifilm X-T3. The rumor of a Kaizen X-T3 update has been published here on FujiRumors a few months ago. And it was only a rumor.

Pressed by questions, Fujifilm managers later on just vaguely answered that such a firmware is “under consideration“.

Another thing is the huge update for Fujifilm GFX100. That firmware has been promised by Fujifilm back in February here. The main course of the meal: pixel shift multishot for 400 megapixel images.

Anyone salivating? ;)

Now back to the rumors.

According to our sources, both, the Fujifilm X-T3 as well as the Fujifilm GFX100 firmware updates should be released in the first half of 2020 (which May/June).

I asked if it could come out already in April, but my sources are sure it won’t be April.

And now a mandatory warning!

While I am 100% sure Fujifilm’s current plans are the ones I said above, after almost a decade of my life dedicated to Fujifilm blogging, I can tell you that if there is one thing, that can experience sudden plan changes at any time, then it’s firmware updates.

Fujifilm has a deadline, but especially with firmware updates, those can change quickly. The firmware will be released, only when ready.

And yet, the plan is to come out with both, X-T3 and GFX100 firmware within the first half of the year.

Fujifilm Manager Talks X-T4 and More: “We Want to Continue Fujifilm X-H Line. Fujifilm X-T3 Firmware Update under Consideration”

Mapcamera interviewed one of Japanese top managers Mr. Takashi Ueno. They talk about Fujifilm X-T4.

And just in case it was needed, he confirms that there will be a Fujifilm X-H2, as FujiRumors always told you and never doubted for a second, even when the whole universe was saying differently.

In fact, I tell you this: at no point in time, Fujifilm ever considered stopping the X-H line. The line they canceled is another one, and we told you here.

The only thing: the Fujifilm X-H2 is still very far away.
