The Rumor
I long wondered why Fujifilm has not made this camera yet.
So much so that I made a dedicated article and video in which I requested Fujifilm to make three cameras, including the one we talk about today.
Well, it looks like one of three cameras on my wishlist will become reality.

… a fixed lens Fujifilm GFX camera with the planed release in 2025.
Fixed lens cameras are currently seeing a huge revival triggered especially by the Fujifilm X100VI (and X100V) as well as the very successful Leica Q3.
There are now rumors about all possible brands launching their fixed lens cameras to grab a piece of that huge market share. Fujifilm is aware that the competition won’t miss out on it and hence is working on a medium format fixed lens GFX.
