Fujifilm 2026 – What to Expect from Fujifilm
What can we expect from Fujifilm in 2026?
Well, in 2025 we have actually shared a few rumors that give us a glimpse in what will come.
For example, the time has come for Fujifilm to launch the 6th generation platform. But there is more to come.
So let’s do it like this. First we take a look at the rumors, and then we’ll make a few speculations.
What’s Coming in 2026

I just don’t rank it higher because this would otherwise give the impression that FujiRumors said this camera will come for sure. And in any case it is still 3 years away, so plans can change.

Speculations and Thoughts
The Fujifilm X-T6 is coming in 2026. So there will be at least one camera with 6th generation power coming. But I would not be surprised if there will be even more.
I don’t have details about the new sensor, but I guess one big question is if it will use a DGO DCG sensor. Pros and Cons for both.
I know Fuji Guy Billy said something about the next X-Pro getting the 5th generation sensor and processor, but at this point I’d bet on it getting the 6th generation sensor and processor. But the true question is: what will Fujifilm come up with this time? The hybrid viewfinder might be improved. And what about the hidden LCD screen? Maybe a multifunctional film lever like on the X half?
Also very intriguing: the rumor about the panorama mode firmware update! If that is true, then my hope is that that won’t be the only thing we get via firmware update. It would be nice if 2026 would become a Kaizen year again. But so far I have no rumors about it…. so let’s trust in the panorama mode, hope for more, and expect nothing :D.
The 1″ sensor is intriguing. You know what I hope for. But I hope to be able to give you the final answer on what it really is as soon as possible.
Lenses: the big missing. Anyone can help. 7 lenses left of “roadmap”, which is not a roadmap sadly. Also, that “roadmap” does not include MKII lenses (for obvious reasons), and I certainly hope we will get some MKII lenses in 2026. And considering that we get about 4 lenses (X+GFX combined) a year, there is definitely lots we can hope for.
