X-T1 price: €1200 ( ≈ $1300).

 photo X_zpsd592314c.png

According to a new source, these are the prices in Euro for the X-T1 and the various kits. Considering that the Euro/Dollar conversion for cameras is almost 1:1 (the X-E2 costs €900 in Germany and $1000 in USA), this means that the X-T1 could actually cost around $1,300 in USA!

The source also said that the price is still unofficial.

– X-T1: around €1,200

– X-T1 + 18-55mm: around €1,600 [UPDATE: FR-source drphotorumor said “Fuji will sell the kit for £1600 in UK”]

– X-T1 + XF18-135mm (weather sealed): around €1,800

ENJOY! More X-T1 images and EVF specs. Bigger EVF than E-M1!

The Japanese source told me that the EVF magnification is bigger than the one of the E-M1: x0,77 compared to the [shoplink 17516]Olympus OM-D E-M1[/shoplink] which is x0,74!

Another source (thanks a lot) shared more details:

– tilt screen / ISO  up to 51200 / magnestum body / EVF: 2.36 million OLED, 0.005s lag  <- this is EVF spec, the world highest / 0.08s AF speed (world fastest) / with optional battery grip / WIFI

Here is the updated specs list

X-T1: price about 180,000 Yen, XF 18-135 will be weather sealed and in stores mid February?

 photo X_zpsd592314c.png

The first information about the price comes from Japan: 180,000 Yen (body only), says digicame-info (tranlsation). The release is scheduled for mid-February. The kit lens will be the 18-55. The zoom lens XF 18-135 will be weather sealed.

I also got an email with the following information:

“X-T1 in store is on Feb 10~15th. The price of X-T1 is about $1,800 only body. EVF is not Organic EL but so incredible. Kit-lens is XF18-55mm F2.8-4. Body size is smaller than X-E2. X-Trans CMOS2 & EXR Procceser existant. I think too expensive it’s price.”

I think the source converted the price from Yen in Dollars. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a lower price tag on the X-T1. Converted in Euro it would be €1,276. Anyway, take all this with a grain of salt.

Here is the updated specs list. I’ve put everything in there:

  • announcement January 28th (trusted source)
  • bigger (extra-large) and better (high performance) EVF / (trusted +  anonymous sources)

Fuji Patent: X-Trans evolution? Sensor with enlarged green pixels!

 photo egami_zpsd88ced24.png

Fujifilm has been at the “forefront of sensor innovation” thanks to the X-Trans sensor (technology of the year award 2012 at imaging-resource here). The company is also working with Panasonic on the organic sensor (press release). And if I remember well, a Fuji manager said that Fujifilm wants to have the best sensor on the market, focussing more and more on the pixel quality rather than simply on pixel quantity.

And indeed, Fujifilm is not resting on its laurels: egami spotted one more Fuji sensor patent here (translation).

„Fujifilm is different pixel size by color imaging element of the is pending. The human eye is sensitive to luminance noise than the color noise, it is possible to improve the high sensitivity performance and practical to increase the pixel size of the white and green.”

Looks like an X-Trans evolution to me.

Fuji’s birthday tomorrow

NOTE: Tomorrow it’s Fuji’s brithday! According to the information I have, the X-T1 should be announced on the 28th. But I wouldn’t be surprised to see other products coming on the 20th in order to celebrate Fuji’s birthday. So stay tuned, I’ll keep you updated with the latest news.

enjoy your Sunday,
Patrick
