New wide angle converter lens for the X100 (+ new X100 firmware)

You know how it is with those wide angle converters…they usually look really bad. But today Fuji once again proved that you can do it differently. That 0.8x adapter looks damn good on the X100 (see image on top) and transforms your 35mm lens in a 28mm equivalent. It has “Super EBC coating”. The WCl-X100 (that’s the official name) will ship in June for $350. At the same time Fuji announced firmware 1.30 that brings support for the converter. Don’t worry! Adoabe is working on the X PRO 1 RAW support!

As you may know Adobe just launched the Lightroom 4.1 Release Candidates which supports many new cameras but not the X PRO 1. Don’t worry! They just added a note too:
The Lightroom and Camera Raw team is well aware of the new X-Pro1 camera from FUJIFILM.  We are currently developing raw support for the X-Pro1 and look forward to providing it as soon as support is complete.  Thanks for your patience on this topic.

Let’s hope it doens’t take that long!
