After being pre-announced in February, then announced a few days ago by Fujifilm USA, the FUJINON MK 50-135mm T2.9 is now available for pre-order at BHphoto, Adorama and AmazonUS.

This is the second compact and affordable MK Cine lens by Fujifilm. The first one is the MK18-55mm T2.9.

Both lenses are available for Sony E-mount. But X-mount will follow later this year.

I already reported back in March here you about the BETA version of X-LR, the Lightroom plug-in that reads Fujifilm’s Film Simulation from your RAW file and automatically applies corresponding profile when you import your images to LR.

It works with:

  • Raw files from all Fuji cameras including the GFX
  • DNGs including those generated from Iridient X-Transformer

What X-LR does:

  • Reads the film simulation from the raw file
    • Applies the corresponding Camera Calibration Profile
    • Can also apply a Develop Preset
    • Records the film simulation as keywords
  • Applies star ratings from the raw file
  • Uses other Fuji settings to set Lightroom sliders or apply presets

System Requirements

  • The plugin is tested on Mac and PC, and for Lightroom 5 or later.
  • It will not run on Lightroom 4 or earlier.
