Bullet Time: Creating Animated GIFs for Weddings with 7 Fujifilm X70 Cameras

When I checked my Twitter this morning, I saw that JLBwedding shared with me this cool Tweet:

In summer 2016 he experimented with creating animated GIFs using multiple cameras. The goal was to animate a moment, frozen in time, from several angles. For doing this, he used 7 Fujifilm X70 cameras.

JLBweddings writes:

I tried two different triggering methods. The first was JJC JM-N(II) radio frequency wireless shutter remote controls. My later setup involved tearing apart and wiring together seven corded camera releases. Both methods worked and both failed

Do you like it? Then make sure to check out jlbwedding here to know how it works exactly and see more samples. Read also his 2016 highlights here.

Other wedding photographer like it to make small video clips out of still images, like Kevin Mullins, as you can see in his video below.

Fujifilm UK: “The X100F Received Unprecendented Interest. Far More than X100/S/T. Unlikely to Clear Back Orders until April!”

Just as many others, also X100F facebook group member D. is still waiting for his X100F. Unpatient, he wrote to Fujifilm and here is the reply he got – shared here in the X100F group:

Thank you for contacting Fujifilm UK,

I am very sorry but the X100F has received unprecendented interest – far more than any previous iteration of the X100 Series. As a result we are unlikely to be able to clear back orders until April. However we do prioritise orders which retailers have told us are for genuine pre orders.”

So the Fujifilm X100F had by far the best start of all X100-series cameras. Let’s just hope Fujifilm won’t repeat the delivering odyssey of the X100S, which also had a high demand and was hard to find in stock for at least 8 months after its announcement.

Anyway… some have the X100F already… and they share great images at the X100F facebook group. Keep up delighting us with your images :)

The Most Underestimated Fujifilm Products? Vote Now!

Back in 2015, I wrote a trilogy about what I considered the 5 most underestimated Fujifilm products ever. You can read epsiode 1 here, episode 2 here and episode 3 here.

As I wrote in my first episode here, the trigger for that little mini-series was, that I realized I focused too much on the high-end stuff. However, Fujifilm has some awesome offerings also in the more affordable category, like my little XQ2. So I wanted to “make it good again” by dedicating a bit of my time and space here on FujiRumors to products, that, in my opinion, got way less attention then they actually deserved (like currently the Fujifilm X-T20, which, as I wrote here, hits the sweetspot in the X-world).

Now, in the last episode of my 2015 trilogy, I also launched a poll, to hear what you guys think are the most underestimated Fujifilm products. Sadly, due to a bug with the poll plug-in last year, I’ve lost all older surveys. Sh*t happens.

But let’s try to see the bright side of things and take this as an opportunity to launch a new and updated poll… and it’s high time, since Fujifilm launched quite some new products from 2015 to now.

My vote is in… feel free to drop yours :)
