BREAKING: Sigma 10-18mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary Lens for Fujifilm X Mount Coming October 5th

Sigma is having a launch event on October 5th.

The awesome guys at SonyAlphaRumors have already leaked the information that there will be the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 FE coming on that day.

But speaking of awesome guys, also our sources would like to add an interesting bit of information ;).

In fact, according to our sources (thanks!!!), Sigma will also launch the Sigma 10-18mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary on October 5th.

In the Sigma world, DC denotes lenses designed for APS-C.

Its strongest competitor will be the Tamron 11-20mm f/2.8.

And I have an idea how Sigma could beat the Tamron 11-20mm f/2.8: put an aperture ring on the Sigma 10-18mm f/2.8 DC DN and you’ll win the hearts of us Fujifilm X shooters ;). So, let’s hope they’ll do that.

NOTE: how2fly informed us that it won’t have an aperture ring
