Fujifilm Announces Free Inspection and Repair for X-E5 Strap Attachment Area – So Far Less Than 0.1% of Shipped Cameras Affected

Dear Valued Customers,

We have recently confirmed that, with respect to our FUJIFILM X-E5 digital camera, there is a potential issue where the strap lug attachment may loosen. Continued use in this condition could result in the strap attachment detaching from the camera body.
As of November 20, 2025, this issue has been identified in fewer than 0.1% of all units shipped.

Fujifilm will provide free inspection and repair services for affected products.
To determine whether any looseness exists, please contact your nearest Fujifilm Customer Service center. Authorized Fujifilm technicians will provide guidance on how to check the strap attachment and will perform inspection and any necessary repairs free of charge.

Fujifilm X RAW Studio Adds X-E5 Support and Fixes Bugs

The software update Ver. 1.27.0 incorporates the following issues:

  1. “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO” becomes compatible with the new X-E5 camera
  2. A software bug is fixed that the “Histogram” of the HEIF image is displayed abnormally
  3. A software bug is fixed that the changes to the “WHITE BALANCE” setting are not always saved

Note that Nr.2 and Nr.3 are only for the Mac version.

Pre-orders will start when the X Summit ends.

So, the X Summit is at 5AM EDT and therefore starting at 6:00 AM New York time stores will list the Fujifilm X-E5 on their pages and you’ll be able to preorder it. Same goes for the Fujinon XF23mmF2.8 R WR.

Hell Yes, I’m Pre-Ordering the Fujifilm X-E5 — Here’s Why! Will You Join Me? And in Which Color?

The decision is made.

I’m going to pre-order the Fujifilm X-E5 the very moment it’s listed online. And then, well… I’ll probably wait eight months to actually get it 😄.

The color? I think I’ll go with this color this time – it will be the first time I get an X-E camera in that color. Things need to change a bit sometimes :).

Why?

At the risk of sounding shallow — but I’ll be honest — it’s mostly because of its sheer beauty.

Yes, the specs are fantastic: a 40MP sensor, IBIS, subject detection… all of that makes it an incredibly capable camera.

But those features come second. The real reason? It’s just gorgeous. In my eyes, one of the most beautiful digital cameras ever made.

And there’s another reason that caught me by surprise: the film simulation dial.

It’s so cleverly integrated, and I love the fact that you can assign three custom film simulation recipes to it.

I already know which two recipes I’ll use to start with… and I’ll see what to put on the thrid one:

So no, I don’t need the X-E5.
But yes — I want it.
And this time, that’s reason enough. Especially considering how crazy my last 12 months were.

And as the wise old saying goes (which I totally just made up to justify my purchase): If the past year’s been rough, treat yourself with new stuff. And who am I to ignore such timeless wisdom? 😉

But the question now is: will you get one for yourself?
