4th of July Deals End Today and Official Fujifilm X/GFX Deals Continue

European Fujifilm X/GFX Deals End Today!

This is the last day to grab the discounted X and GFX gear in Europe.

Unlike in UK, in Germany, Italy and other EU countries (but not all, for example not Netherlands), Amazon is included in the “Qualifying Retailers” list when it comes to the X series deals (not GFX deals). Must be shipped and sold by Amazon (no third party).

Huge Fujifilm X/GFX Deals in USA with Up to $2,000 Savings and One Recommendation

So, Fujifilm finally launched huge deals with up to $2,000 savings on X and GFX gear. You’ll find all details below.

Depending on the deal, they run either until July 11, July 25 or August 22.

But here is one recommendation I’d like to make, based also on my personal experience.

Fujifilm was upfront and already announced here delivery delays on many products due to chip shortage.

Considering that the current deals will cause a demand-boost on the below mentioned gear, if you are interested to get your gear as fast as possible, maybe it is better not to wait the last days of the deals.

It’s an error I did in fact.

I did wait the last days of the GF lens deals myself back in April, and while initially the store had the GF32-64 available, it did run out of stock during the promotional period, and now I am still waiting to get mine. I wish I’d have ordered earlier.

But hey, if you are more patient than me, then also ordering last second is a great option.

Fujifilm GFX Evolution: Leaving Perfection for…

ZP productions tested the GFX100S and GF80mmF1.7. He loves both, and owns both.

But there is one note he makes.

He says that when Fujifilm launched the GFX system a few years ago, it had sheer perfect lenses. But he noticed that with the latest lens releases, Fujifilm traded in a bit of that perfection to release less perfect, smaller and more affordable lenses.

In this context, he compares the GF110mmF2 to the GF80mmF1.7, the first one being expressions of Fuji’s perfection, the second one, while still being excellent and he actually totally loves to shoot with it, just not being just as perfect as the GF110mmF2.

This is strange, as usually USA and Canada launch the deals at the same time on the same items.

However, this time the deal is running only in Canada, and it resembles almos 1:1 the ones currently running all over Europe.

Actually part of these deals were shortly available in USA at BHphoto here, but they have since then been removed.

As we reported here, the US Fuji deals have been delayed a bit. Who knows what they will bring… some even better deals? ;)
