Sirui has launched on Indiegogo what they call “the most advanced and compact gimbal“, the SIRUI Swift M1 and SIRUI Swift P1.
The SIRUI Swift P1 is especially designed for ILDC/Mirrorless, Action Camera devices, whereas the SIRUI Swift M1 is designed for smartphones.

At the end, it’s all about finding the right balance, keeping in mind what’s the target group of a certain lens. And I guess in order ot keep size, weight and price down, Fujifilm had to rely more on digital correction in the case of this lens.
We recently reported about this (google translated) tweet, that seemed to indicate a possibility that Sigma will make Fujifilm APS-C X Mount lenses.
However, I was skeptical, and told you that this is nothing that I can confirm.

Tanaka-san is simply noting that Sigma are proposing their APS-C mirrorless lenses in Canon EF-M (very soon), Leica L (next year), µ4/3 and Sony E mount, therefore the only APS-C mirrorless mount let aside by Sigma is the Fujifilm X mount.
What Tanaka says, is that due to various circumstances it’s hard for Sigma to make X mount glass.

There are lots of adapters for the Fujifilm X system, including focal reducers, which work like this: you take a Full Frame lens, puts them on Fuji APS-C sensor, and the speedbooster transmutes that focal length back to full frame. It totally negates the crop factor. And the way the adapter works, we actually also double our light, translating 1 stop faster in exposure time.

There has been a significant change in the Fujinon X mount lens roadmap.
As Fujifilm explained at the Fujifilm X Summit, in order to save size, the scraped the Fujinon XF33mm f/1.0 in favor of a smaller and ligher Fujinon XF 50mm f/1.0.
