Today, when UK FR-reader Andrew will arrive home from work, he will already be able to take his first shots with the Fujifilm X-E2!!! UK store wexphotographic already shipped his X-E2 as you can see from the screenshots! The black and silver body+kit lens combination is also in stock at Wex. Here is what Andrew wrote me:

“WEX photographic here in the U.K called me last night and said that my X-E2 order will be with me tomorrow! (Friday 1st November). […] I was really surprised too! Didn’t expect it till mid November at the very earliest myself.  I’m at work right now, but as soon as I get home I’ll send along some pictures (won’t be until later today, but my partner is in to collect the camera). I’ve attached a couple of screenshots of the WEX delivery notification and the Parcel Force website delivery status. I’ll keep you informed.”

enjoy your camera, Andrew!

XF23mm

[shopcountry 16128]

– Tom Grill is testing the XF23mm on the X-E2. Read his first impressions and download high-res samples here: “I think you will find that this is an extremely sharp lens wide open both in the center and in the corners, and at f/5.6 it is nothing short of sensational. […] The lens feels good. It focuses fast, is comfortable to hold, and due to its large size fits nicely on my X-Pro1. If anything, I am not a fan of scalloped lens shades. They seem unnecessarily large on short focal length lenses. I already found myself leaving it off when there was no absolute need for it.  That is the only negative thing I have to say about my experience using this lens, which says something in and of itself.”

Hi all!

I had an interesting chat with two of our trusted sources (the Japanese source and a „long time“ source). Here is what they told us about Fuji’s next X-camera:

They both say: Fuji will launch a weather sealed camera.

– The trusted Japanese source said it will feature an APS-C X-Trans II sensor.
– The „long time“ trusted source said it will have a big high-performance EVF.

So, to everyone wondering what camera Fuji could squeeze between the X-E and X-PRO line… the answer is: a weather sealed X! And it should be announced at the CES in January!

3 tips to support Fujirumors FOR FREE… and keep this blog running

News, rumors, deals, reviews about the X-series… everything can be found here, on Fujirumors. As you can imagine it’s often a lot of work for me to deliver you the best service I can during my spare time (yep, I have an ordinary full-time day-job). But that’s really ok, because it’s fun to work on rumors :-). So, I’ll continue to put my best into it, but I also need your support. Here is what you can do, if you want:

1) Buy your gear here: If you purchase your gear using my shoplinks, this blog gets a small commission that helps to keep this site running… and you won’t pay a single penny extra on your gear if you choose this way to support Fujirumors.

2) Share rumors: I’d love to tell you more about this weather sealed X as soon as possible. I will give my best… but I need also your support. If you have some relevant and reliable information, feel free to share them with Fujirumors.

3) Social networks: I’ve you are one of those who like to stop by this blog, you could consider also to like us on facebook, spread the word on twitter and add us on google+.

Thanks for your time
