IRIDIENT 3.0.5

Iridient Developer 3.0.5 is now available:
http://iridientdigital.com/products/iridientdeveloper_download.html

Improves RAW black level handling, in some situations quite noticeably, for the X100 and perhaps some other non X-Trans models as well. Various other bug fixes, improvements and new camera support. This release also adds an editing extension for Apple Photos on Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) that provides external edit type functionality for opening images from the Photos library into Iridient Developer.

The Million Dollar Brian

And since we are talking of Iridient, here is another fun (and fake) rumor I’ve received via email.

Adobe is considering abandoning their own RAW developer and contract Iridient to supply software. We have 50 people working on this stuff and they can’t keep up with a one man show! We just have the wrong staff, exclaims senior manager! We can pay him $5mill a year and still come out ahead!”

I contacted Brian from Iridient, since I wanted to share a good laugh him… and he obviously confirmed that it’s a fake since “their recruiter told me they could only afford $4 million” :-)

cheers

FujiFilm Australia says: “New Product Announcement this weekend!” (already tomorrow?)

Share

announcement

Yesterday, Fujifilm Australia invited via facebook Fuji fans at the The Digital Show this weekend from 16 to 18 October. They end the post writing:

p.s. New product announcement to be expected! See you there!”

So what, will Fujifilm announce the 1.4x Teleconverter and 35mmF2 already tomorrow (or within the 18th)? I can’t see Fuji announcing new gear on Saturday or Sunday. IIRC, they never did that so far. So the 16th of October is the hottest candidate.

In the meantime, also digicame-info confirms: Fujfiilm will announce the 35mmF2 and 1.4x Teleconverter “soon”.

stay tuned…

Super-Fast XF 33mmF1.0 :: Will Fujifilm make it? A Trusted source says the die is cast, and the answer is… ?

Share

33This is one of my favorite rumors of 2015. On April 20 a New Source told us Fujifilm is considering to produce a Super-Fast 1.0 lens (around 30mm). We all took the grain of salt… and started hoping.

Luckily, about a month later, on May 25, a source, who was right in the past, confirmed that Fujifilm has a 33mmF1.0 on the radar, but they were still discussing if they should really make it. Will the X-shooter community buy such a lens?

We tried to help Fujifilm in their decision, and dropped our vote in the following polls:

Between an X-Pro2 and X-E3 I'd buy...

And we waited… patiently.

So what, did Fuji finally made its decision? According to a trusted source: Yes, the die is cast! And the answer is….

… drum roll…

Yes! Fuji will produce it!

When will it come? I still don’t know, but you can be sure I’ll put my best into it not only to get multiple confirmation about this rumor, but also to give you an expected release date as soon as possible!

so stay tuned…

Best FAKE Rumor of the Week :: Unveiled – The TOP SECRET negotiation between Fujifilm & Sony!

Share

 photo fake_zpsa3tlfvxm.jpg

I normally do not post the fake rumors I get on FujiRumors. But allow me to share one with you today, because I’d like to express my deepest gratitude to all those sources, Anonymous, New or Trusted, who shared correct information with FujiRumors in the past and helped me to find the right path in the thick fake-rumor jungle aimed to discredit this blog. Thanks… you’re my Virgil!

And now, my fellow X-shooter, I’m sad to tell you that it’s over! After years of galactic investments and terrific efforts to build up the best and most complete APS-C line on the market, this rumor written in stone unveils that… “Fuji is considering Sony’s interest in acquiring its mirrorless camera and lens business.”

Damn… our beloved retro-vintage manual control cameras will become PlayStations ;)

And btw,  thanks also to all those FR-readers, who didn’t share rumors, but links to news, curiosities, deals, reviews & what not… FujiRumors is more than “just” rumors and I appreciate any help I get.

cheers
